DOLCE & GABBANA ALTA SARTORIA SHOW - SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION [1/3].

The model is staged backstage at the Ponte di Castel Sant’Angelo for D&G's Alta Sartoria show inspired by Catholic priests and vestments. The model wears a heavily embellished chasuble, a sleeveless outer vestment, over a white lace shirt with a folded over collar. They wear a large, ornate cross around their neck.

There are two models in the photo, one closer to the camera, in front of a brick wall. The closer model wears a red silk outfit, patterned after the classic scarlet cassock worn by a cardinal. They wear an ornate cross around their neck, and a shirt with a high lace collar. The model farthest from the camera wears an ornate red and gold breastplate, like the sorts worn by cathedral saints, leaving their arms bare. They wear deep red silk pants with a tie waist.

Three models face the camera wearing a series of lush, embroidered suits. The model on the left wears a plum suit with ornate, gold (how many times can i say ornate here, let's find out) cross embellishments and embroidered gloves. The suit is made up of a plum silk fabric, tied in strips around the torso. The model in the middle wears a blue suit with a hanging, gold scarf, tucked underneath the waistcoast. The suit is heavily embroidered with blue floral designs. The model on the right is wearing numerous contrasting arabesque patterns in reds and golds on their suit jacket, shirt, and high-waisted pants. The jacket is red, the shirt burgundy, and the pants are black and gold.

The model faces the camera and wears a suit with high-waisted pants and an open jacket. They wear a sheer, black shirt, with embroidery that uses catholic imagery and designs. The suit jacket and pants match: black with gold embroidery. They wear black gloves.

DOLCE & GABBANA ALTA SARTORIA SHOW - SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION [2/3].

There are two models in the photo, in front of a brick wall. The model on the left wears a dark coat with embroidered floral (acanthus? arabesque? baroque?) designs on the shoulders, collar, and front. They wear a white lace shirt with high-waisted red pants with a scarlet fascia (the waist sash worn by cardinals) wrapped around their waist. They wear jewelry on their torso, made of gold, black stones, and pearls, with a hanging cross, that imitates a human rib cage. Cathedral saints coming back strong here.

The model on the right wears a beaded cream tunic, inlaid with multiple colored stones around a central design (like the eponymous sacred heart) in the middle of the chest made of multiple red stones. They wear a high-necked lace collar. Their arms are bare.

Three models all stand in front of the camera, wearing classic suits in black, white, and a powder blue. The suits are covered in multiple jeweled crosses.

Three models all wear heavily embroidered clothing based primarily off papal wear. The model on the left wears a red velvet robe with an embroidered sash tie, white gloves, and a white lace shirt. The model in the middle wears a beaded and embroidered version of the Pope's "Ordinary Dress" (the classic white outfit aka the simar). The model on the right wears a deep red sequin over white and red pants with a white lace collar and white gloves.

Two models wear full-white suits embroidered in gold, with white seed bead embellishments. The model on the left has most of the embroidery on their arms, the front of their jacket, and the wide lapels of their coat. The model on the right's jacket is covered in beading, the collar left bare. They both wear dramatic gold necklaces, like a pectorale minus the cross.

Can you all be so proud of me that I have a bunch of Catholic vestment references pulled up for this alt text? I'm Orthodox only if you squint really, really, really hard. Please clap.

DOLCE & GABBANA ALTA SARTORIA SHOW - SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION [3/3].

The model walks the runway proper at the Ponte di Castel Sant’Angelo. The bridge (circa 134AD) was originally built by Emperor Hadrian to connect Rome’s city center to his future mausoleum and has since been used for both a roman fortress and a papal residence.

The model wears white pants and white gloves embroidered with gold floral patterns. They wear a heavy, cape buttoned up along the chest. The cape has images of roman statues on plinths, standing against a blue "heaven-like" background with clouds and embellished shoulders. The model wears a gold papal cross.

Ooohhh you wanna watch Conclave (2024) so bad.

Three models look at the camera, the one in the middle staring directly at it while the other two flank them and look over their shoulder. The one on the left wears a starched linen tunic, partnered off a traditional surplice, sleeveless and embellished with pearls and jewels. They carry a small golden box as a purse, the metallic gold strap looped around their wrist. The model in the middle wears a dramatic robe with a wide, stiff collar and wide cuffs. The robe is dark, covered in red, green, and gold embroidery. The model to the right wears a deep purple robe with gold embroidery and gold fringe epaulets

The model from the first photo in part two of these posts now walks the runway proper. They wear a deep purple floor-length coat, like an open monsignor's cassock, with gold metallic accents on the bottom and gold, matte accepts on the shoulders, sleeves, and chest. They wear a white lace shirt with high-waisted red pants with a deep burgundy fascia (the waist sash worn by cardinals) wrapped around their waist. They wear jewelry on their torso, made of gold, black stones, and pearls, with a hanging cross, that imitates a human rib cage. Their gloves are embroidered in gold.

The model walks the runway in a black suit. They wear a black shirt with a white clerical collar, like a classic priest cassock. Their pants are black, which match their gloves. Their suit jacket is black with white lace detailing. The white lace looks like a cardinal's ceremonial dress, specifically the bottom hem of a rochet: a white vestment generally worn by a Roman Catholic or Anglican bishop in choir dress.

"The lace is made according to the personal taste of each cardinal. In the past, rochets were only made by hand. Today, for economic reasons and for durability, they are also machine-made."

The double-breasted jacket has six black buttons.

The whole point of defending the right for uncomfortable, or even reprehensible fiction to have the right to exist isnt that its all cool and nothing is ever wrong with it Its that government/corpo organizations will NEVER look at things with the """nuance""" you think is so self evident

the targeting of any art that is "obscene" (terms of obscenity always to be decided at a whim) is fascistic yes but also how the only kinds of art that tends to be penalized is the individual/independent creators isn't lost on me. a patreon TOS would reject anything that can be streamed on netflix.

The work will be hard and painful and take forever only for… What? Is there even a reward? It just makes me fixate on how other people don’t have to do all that work just to live, how good they have it, and it makes me think to myself—why bother? Why bother when I’ll still be alone no matter what?

150

Lace 🍒 @sublimati0ns.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

So why do I still feel like shit? Why am I only able to feel like the bad aspects of my life are real? It feels more like a period of reality-check disillusionment than depression which is annoying. The thought of doing work to make things better just makes me feel worse since it’s like… Who cares?

Lace 🍒 @sublimati0ns.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

Cruel and unusual punishment that there is no way to speedrun having a depressive episode like wtf that can’t be true. There must be a way. I get enough food and water, I don’t let my hygiene suffer, I keep in touch with people, I try to do as many hobbies as I can, and I stretch and everything 😡

Where were you when you encountered the sacred text? #20yearsofMyImmortal

A snippet of the opening paragraph of the fanfiction, My Immortal: Hi my name is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way and I have long ebony black hair (that's how I got my name) with purple streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Amy Lee. I'm not related to Gerard Way but I wish I was because he's a major fucking hottie. I'm a vampire but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I'm also a witch, and I go to a magic school called Hogwarts in England where I'm in the seventh year (I'm seventeen). I'm a goth (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black corset with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside Hogwarts. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.
