Nice! Did you try the new putImage() so you can optimize the image when uploading? You can configure the width/quality/format.

Yeah strict null check was definitely the nail I the coffin for TypeScript overtaking JavaScript. However I think the Structural Typing was what kicked off the revolution and made devs feel productive with TS and made it a real alternative to plain JS.

It is documented and explains a bit, but not well known: > It can be faster than the object-based crypto.createHash() when hashing a smaller amount of data (<= 5MB) that's readily available. If the data can be big or if it is streamed, it's still recommended to use crypto.createHash() instead.
120
Steven ⬢ @styfle.dev · 04/05/2026
That one trick your LLM doesn't know about... Instead of createHash('sha1').update(data).digest('hex') You can do hash('sha1', data, 'hex')
import { createHash } from 'crypto';

createHash('sha1').update(data).digest('hex');

// aaf4c61ddcc5e8a2dabede0f3b482cd9aea9434dimport { hash } from 'crypto';

hash('sha1', data, 'hex');
