Mamdani also has a really consistent, clear narrative that champions the working class and prioritizes its issues. He does both policy and messaging very well. Obama's not wrong to say that national Dems' messaging is almost non-existent.

...and don't talk values or the American identity until presidential election campaigns ramp up, while the Right is constantly spewing reactionary narrative framing. To stamp out the fascist movement, you need to replace it with an alternative civic ethic, not just prosecutions and policy changes.

The GOP/its proxies bought/seized countless media platforms, gerrymandered districts, undermined voting, and captured swaths of the judiciary until it controlled/debilitated all avenues that previously checked its power. Decades of effort can't be easily undone, but it needs to be forcefully met.

Before last year, there were no US measles deaths in a decade, and now we have had 5 deaths in two years. Measles was declared eliminated in the US in 2000, but will lose that status this year. This is an abject failure of public health leadership.

I'm not sure I understand. The pre-AI line seems to indicate that students who took less time on homework before AI didn't have worse test scores. That test scores were not directly correlated to time on homework. That direct correlation only appears once AI is introduced.

One of the worst things about the Senate’s attempted Fauci show trial is how the supposed evidence against him is early in COVID he considered multiple hypotheses, then increasingly ruled some unlikely as evidence came in. The objection is he did science. Fundamentally that is what’s under attack.
