My schizoaffective is deteriorative so I expected this at some point, but this early on is saddening but I’ve been obsessive and unhealthy with this magic social ecosystem. I need to let go. I will try to be at conventions where it is possible and try to continue MelaninMagic as I can. Thanks

If you need to contact me my DMs are open. I don’t want to talk about why. It won’t be good for my mental space but I do want yall to be able to contact me if they need to Hopefully this is temporary but if it’s forever, it is what it is. Thank you to the people who have made this enjoyable for me

I am seeing some of my doctors more often. And I am taking my meds. I will continue writing and producing my podcast, but I won’t be as active on Bluesky. The social element of this space has done irrevocable harm to my mind, so I will be cutting out the infection.

So, I have had a massive paranoid schizophrenic episode surrounding social media in the magic space. I will be taking a step back from it. I will be cancelling all of my streams and I won’t be appearing on anyone’s streams.

I’ve had a lot of devastating news from many different angles over the year. But like a bone sifting into place, it’s clarified so many things. I feel clearer than I have been for a long time. I know what I want, who I want to do it alongside, and what it means to me. It’s relieving.

I sort of get what you’re saying but I wonder why cards like Rhystic get more heat than a One Ring.

I just saw Backrooms and it was really good! Surprised with how scary it was. Non traditional styles of scare that I rather loved. They love edging your anxiety.

I just watched it and I rather liked how it ended. With an asterisk. I think the ending needed a little more pizazz but I liked the direction.

I’m gathering info for an article: is a card powerful and thus salty or is a card only salty if it isn’t necessarily powerful but oppressive or upsetting in some way? What makes you salt out about a card?

For anyone wondering where the highest density of legends comes from, it's Marvel. The MSH and MSC sets/precons/Jumpstart were chock full o' nuts. 110 nonlegendary creatures vs 375 legendary creatures. Batshit insane.

Doing research on Scryfall for a future episode and I realized: There have been MORE new Legendary Creatures printed in 2026 than Non-Legendary Creatures. I knew it was bad, but... damn.

Another one of her videos had this quote too from Margaret Atwood, “You are a woman with a man inside watching a woman. You are your own voyeur.” Another banger quote

I watched a video that had this quote from Camus: “The absurd is born of this confrontation between the human need and the unreasonable silence of the world.” This means so much to me. My life feels absurd.

Four panel comic. Panel 1: two guys playing basketball outside. Guy 1 looks off to the side and asks, “is someone in the window?” Panel 2: a creepy ghost woman stands in the upstairs window of a house, watching them. Panel 3: Guy 2 calls up to the creepy ghost, “you wanna hoop?” Panel 4: the ghost is outside playing basketball with them. She bricks a shot from the free throw line. Guy 2 says, “that’s H-O-R.”

I finally finally finally decided to get a second masters in clinical psych. It’ll take me two and a half years but at the end of it I will have a career that gets me out of my inability to work. Wish me luck!

Today was my last day at my job (for real this time). I had a box of Tales of Middle Earth sitting at my desk to buy on my last day and I ripped it tonight. Unreal. This box was made for me. I finally own a real One Ring and Orcish Bowmasters. 🥹
