That's a very cool sound! When I was a fishing guide, I had 4 anglers from Fresno, CA. 1 of the guys was telling when a bull mounts a cow to breed, that's called "rut". Then when he's done he's so happy he jumps off and "bugles". Being I hadn't been paid yet, so I agreed.

He doesn't talk about the school children who will be walking to school in the dark. Where I live daylight doesn't even begin to show till 7:30 AM in Dec. With DLS it will be 8:30. Change it to standard and then leave it. If you want an extra hour for golf, get up an hour earlier.

I keep hearing how people say we keep an extra hour of evening daylight. Daylight doesn't change, only how we measure it. Is an evening hour of daylight really worth the risk of school children walking to school in the dark? Standard time is my choice. Want your extra hour? Get up earlier.

The Sunshine Protection Act is incredibly stupid. We tried this in the 70s. It didn't work. If you want keep the time the same all year it should be standard time. Science even says so. But I'm retired so there is no time in my world 😎 FOR THE WIN.

I don’t know about where you live. On the Oregon Coast when we get really nice weather in the fall, that just means it’s not gonna last much longer. But with the uncharted El Niño this year we all maybe wanting rain and snow to fill our rivers and cover our passes come November.

Watching a a whale breach is an amazing site. While salmon fishing at the mouth of the Umpqua River in Oregon I got to see it at 100'. Afterwards I looked around and I was the only one to see it, noit another angler in site. Oh and 100' is too close to see breaching whale. They're really big!

While visiting Mexico we bought a bag of fresh made flour tortillas. During dinner my wife commented how they were the best she'd ever had. I told her they were made with "L". Love she asked? No lard. She's been making her own ever since. Just not with lard, but plenty of love.
