I mean I think it’s reasonable to believe that some of these Trump voters are upset about Trump and what he’s doing bc they’re dumb. But I also think a lot of the folks who I described above are likely on the left (also that there are many medium-size pieces to this puzzle, not just one big piece)

Not relevant to OP but every once in awhile I see the argument around “calories in vs calories out” and it’s thermodynamically true but utterly useless because you can’t accurately measure either calories in or out and even to the extent you can measure your own burn rates, they change over time
tried semaglutide for about 3 months (trying to get rid of a pesky 15-20 pounds), somewhat to my surprise it had no effect on my weight whatsoever. I did cut my calorie intake by like 25% maybe? but did not lose an ounce

This is, of course, not what was claimed, what was claimed was that $100K is not middle class and you deleted it because a bunch of people pointed out that that is incorrect

$100k is objectively middle class

Fully 1/4 of the population is dumb as shit, folks. Buy-their-wallets-in-bulk stupid. The kind of people who would think windex is Gatorade because it’s blue, spit it out because it tastes awful, and then, seeing that it’s blue like Gatorade, drink it again

LLMs don’t understand what they’re doing, don’t know what anything is. That’s not relevant to what they can do and I’m not sure why anyone is getting hung up on it. My table saw doesn’t know whether it’s cutting through cherry or ash or fir, it cuts through them anyway

The manosphere stuff is obvious bullshit regardless but I at least sort of understand how you could convince yourself that these dipshits knew what they were talking about if you’d never been on a date or something. But if you were literally married? 10 out of 10 loser shit

It is *extremely* good if Republicans feel the need to demonstrate their willingness to work with Democrats. Democrats should NOT reciprocate. This is blood in the water, this is weakness. Strike at it! Be politicians, for fuck’s same!

It used to be that reaching across the aisle wasn't just okay, it was expected.
Some people in Washington forgot that. I never have.
That's why I worked with Democrats to expand mental healthcare for veterans and with President Trump to take on big health insurance and drug companies to lower your costs.
Working across the aisle isn't always easy, but it's how you get results.

Lmao, first of all, I’m not sure that any single person’s love of a wide variety of foods is better documented than Bourdain’s. But more importantly, “if you don’t love hard tack you don’t appreciate food and are uncultured” is a truly unhinged take. Top tier log off moment
Anthony Bourdain's inability to appreciate survival food eaten by people living in extremely harsh climates is why I don't think he is as cultured as he presented himself to be

Food isn't just about taste. Food is first and foremost about avoiding starvation. I feel like if you can't appreciate the lengths some people will go to survive and stay fed, you don't really appreciate food at its most basic premise
