Just saw Heart Machine news... The game industry really is collapsing. Its is really fucking sad. Any dev relying on outside money seems to be at massive risk. My guess is all the capital is just being pumped into AI and it's starving Game Dev.

I have fond memories of the original Legend of Zelda. Got it during Christmas in the 80s. Me, my dad, and my cousin took turns marathoning it. Each of us trying to solve its many secrets. The monsters were terrifying back then. (rough sketch: Pols, Vels, Kees, Gels, and Zol.)

Been working through Stephen Fry's books on Greek Myths. Highly recommend if you were looking for some meaty Greek deep(ish) dives with Fry's humorist approach.. Audio versions are also read by him, and are fantastic.

Not much progress for this update. 🐌 I went back to work on encounters a bit. Shrunk the mob sprites by 10% for better scale vs the environment. Also spiced up their skills a lil' with some effects and text pop up to make actions easier to follow. #JSDungeon

I love what a weird mishmash of both halves of Nintendo the rarely-seen Famicombox is - essentially a Japanese-exclusive multicart NES loaded up with Famicom ROMs baked onto NES cartridges for play in hotels and whatnot. Cool to see some still kickin’ in the wild.
