In my country (France) right now they are unleashing police terror and violence on highschoolers (so 14 to 17 yo kids) for protesting the degrading conditions they're studying in. The images are *wild*. I'm talking police cars almost running over teens, a 14yo strangled, a kid lost all his teeth,

"Xanathar, the Beholder". Bow to the crime Lord of Waterdeep! Some personal work, I've always wanted to paint a beholder from DnD, they're so fun! #illustration #illustrator #art #artist #fantasy #creaturedesign #characterdesigner #coneptartist #dungeonsanddragons

A beholder looks down on a seemingly rich, tied-up man, held by an orc henshman. Next to Xanathar, a mind flayer and of course, his goldfish in a floating bowl.

Only 36 days until Halloween... "Abyssal Ritual" Oil on panel for @hitpointpress.bsky.social

Oil painting in dark teal and bright orange. The painting is of a dark forest with craggy trees. In the center there is a large glowing orange pit opening in the forest floor with strange bat-like creatures coming out. A girl in a flowing dress hovers over the glowing hole in a witchy pose. It looks like they're all having a pretty good spooky time.

Aeromancy, for Oberant. And with that, I think it's time for me to take a break from this project, for now. I want to explore other things, other worlds, maybe I'll linger in Faerûn for a little while... More adventures to be had, stay tuned! #magic #fantasy #art #illustration #oc

A stylized depiction of a mage wielding a swirling wind. Beside it, a text that reads : " Aeromancy. Air magic is very widespread among Re mages. Because air is everpresent, it is easy to connect with, making it the perfect element to learn magic. Incredibly useful and with a moderate destructive power, Aeromancy is one the few magics allowed in urban areas. It is unmatched at repelling enemies, and pushing them away.
In conjunction with water-speaking, Aeromancy has massively contributed to Selhumar’s success on the seas, filling the sails with powerful winds in an otherwise still air.
Air is considered as a sacred element, as it is said to carry the vibrations of the Harmonium. The most attuned air-speakers have the power of foresight, as they can hear the slight disturbances in the Harmonium, and anticpate events to come."

So after a few years of trying to convince us to buy into their shit and seeing that they're failing, AI bros are pivoting : now, they say that anti-AI folks are "unreasonable, heretics, crazy, extremists, because surely you must like AI at least a little bit, right? Please?"

Freelance artists/illustrators real question : how do you go about reaching out to clients to remind them you are available? I do it every now and then bc I'm scared of being forgotten and overlooked in a sea of talented artists, but at the same time, I always worry abt being annoying. Thoughts?
