The Spanking Goddess An evening with Clare Murphy, story-teller Clare Murphy, Storyteller, Writer & Speaker has been telling stories for 20 years in over 20 countries. From London to Singapore she has played the Globe, Derry Playhouse, Soho and the National Theatre London and festivals including Electric Picnic, Cape Clear Storytelling Festival, Cheltenham Literature Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. Clare is currently working on the finishing touches to her book The Spanking Goddess and Other Discarded Tales with New Island Books, out in all bookstores March 2027. The Spanking Goddess Clare brings the wild women of myth back into the light, telling the myths you've never heard before (and may never again). Discover a shapeshifter spanking her opponents, a queen balancing on the point of a spear, a goddess caught in a face-off with death and heroes defeated by mother-daughter warriors. Witness the first ever divorce... and the woman won!
