It’s small interactions where DS9 shines. Mild situational comedy enhanced by more fleshed out characters. I love that Worf even examines his prune juice afterwards with suspicion when he learns hears from Odo it is a changeling In his cup.

I remember kind of hating this episode on the first watch but in the rewatch I am entertained seeing Worf rather join a terrorist group than enjoy a vacation.

It does help that Jake was much better written and is actually more charismatic. Wes is the awkward gifted kid while Jake is able to schmooze with Ferengi and Dabo girls.

Don't know why but today I spent four and a half hours watching Gettysburg. Soundtrack always had a special place in my heart since I listened to it a ton as a kid, especially when playing Sid Meyer's game of the same name.

Finished up Esoteric Ebb last night and it was quite a journey, a Disco-like wearing a DnD skin that felt really easy to get into. Highly recommend as I got in debates with goblins, flirted with a sphinx and made friends with a mushroom.

It makes me wish Beamdog made a new original game in the engine as the awkward parts are where it tries to fit between BG 1 and 2. It worked very well as an expansion for BG1 but it doesnt quite fit with how it leads into Shadows of Amn.

Companions actually have a bit of an arc which is welcome, as they are glorifed RTS units in the first game. There are large scale battles and it actually reminds me much more of Icewind Dale 2 than a BG game as its on rails with only a few side paths for optional quests.

Just beat Siege of Dragonspear, was actually pretty fun; encounters felt epic and the story was'nt as bad as some folks online said it was. I found the kitbashed elements from the other infinity engine games to be quite cute and there are still a number of new things, dungeons items and enemies.

Between the new conference this morning and many other speeches... how can you look at the US President and not see a man in cognitive decline?
