I think repurposing it is a wonderful idea!

I'm rewatching it at the moment, it's been a lot of fun as a nostalgia trip. I agree that it's a very niche IP and I'm not sure there would be much interest. Out of interest roughly how high is the price they're asking for?

There are a couple of quotes in this which have blown me away! "The whole system has been put together and very obviously playtested thoroughly, if only all rule books were so well written!" "As a historical based TTRPG this is one of the best out there and deserves to be played at more tables."

Feeling very much the same. I've just come out of a meeting where the solution to AI writing useless Jira tickets is to check the ticket and get AI to refine it and not write the ticket yourself

It got three seasons but ended on a cliff hanger so I would love another season of Santa Clarita Diet

Some of the stretch goals are exciting. Some feel like filler that should already be part of the project

I always felt they were an underrated weapon in most fantasy RPGs. Difficult to use, sure, but extremely destructive. That's why they do 6 damage in Aegean, compared to most weapons doing 4 or 5.

I'm looking at a gushing review of Aegean on DriveThru which ends with "font is too small" and gives it 3 stars and comparing it to the "surprisingly meh" review, which also gives it 3 stars.

I didn't realise it was Alan Ritchson's body. With the face I thought they'd tried to get Sean Bean but couldn't so went with as close as possible without being sued

For me it's the Mars Milk Drink advert from the 90s. That pops into my head uninvited every now and again.

I don't really have a reference. If this works I'll probably want a few different styles, so I would consider any style really for this prototype
110
Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
Yeah, they would need to be framed consistently so it's easy to switch features in and out. I don't have DMs on here and I don't really use Discord. How to contact me by email is on my profile page

Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
4 sets for each category as the prototype. I want to test the complexity with this

Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
I don't have access to DMs as I'm in the UK and refuse to provide proof of age to a system that's guaranteed to have negligible security. You can find out how to email me on my profile page

For fantasy races lets stick with humans for now, though if you add some pointy ears, I don't have a problem with that. Lets go with classic fantasy. I'm looking at generating colour filters for hair and skin tones so they can be greyscale. Colour for everything else

Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
For style I'm looking for something that wouldn't look out of place in the latest D&D book. I'm really trying to work out how feasible it is to do this with quite complex variations, e.g. do all the hairstyles need to be reworked if you add a tiara? What happens when you add a helm?
100
Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
I'm thinking of something like this: 4 faces 4 pairs of eyes 4 pairs of ears 4 noses 4 mouths 4 differing hairstyles 4 sets of clothes 4 other adornments, which I'll leave up to you, but I'm thinking things like a crown or tiara, eye patch, earrings

For the initial trial I'd be looking for the following: 4 faces 4 pairs of eyes 4 pairs of ears 4 noses 4 mouths 4 differing hairstyles 4 sets of clothes 4 other adornments Fantasy genre; style, something that wouldn't look out of place in the latest D&D book
120
Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
They would need to be interchangeable, yes. I'm thinking the person can select a base head, add eyes from a selection, add a nose from a selection and so on.

Stoo Goff @stoogoff.com · 12/09/2026
For this trial I would want 8 separate layers with four variations in each: 4 faces 4 pairs of eyes 4 pairs of ears 4 noses 4 mouths 4 differing hairstyles 4 sets of clothes 4 other adornments

I've got basic code working but I think that's the easy bit and I want to trial some art before I go further. If you're interested and want more info you can figure out my email address from my profile page. I can't receive direct messages on here so don't send them. Paid work, obvs.

4. It used to be sci-fi/fantasy, history, self-improvement, computing, classics. These days I rarely go into a bookstore unless I'm on holiday so it's usually a secondhand place with no sense of order or something relevant from a museum's gift shop
