my new after-work routine is popping into beat saber for like an hour or two and it's great. gets me physically moving after an entire day of sitting at my desk and it's fun enough that I totally forget I'm exercising. the steam frame was such a good investment for me

the steam frame is generally cool as a concept but I just learned Valve casually poured money into an open source compatibility layer between ARM and x86-64 to create it. I know your eyes probably glaze over when I say those words but trust me it is extremely impressive and cool

since this knowledge is getting lost again: when people claim to "train AI models on (their) own artists", it's usually not. Most AI models are pre-trained on scraped datasets and what is being done is fine-tuning additional data Models trained on pure ethical datasets are not as impressive:

stayed up way too late playing Sovereign Tower, I love a difficult management sim characters & story is great and the built in save scum mechanic is rly interesting. used it 15+ times in just the first two acts and I can't wait to find out just how much it is going to doom me to a bad end or smth

ok I beat metaphor. it was in fact incredibly solid the entire way through this is sacrilegious in front of the right audience but I legitimately think that I may have liked it more than the persona games I've played. which is almost all of them (yes, including spin-offs)

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.
