Now that I got everything I need, mainly Adobe Illustrator, and a couple of websites that I now know of that accept custom decals (Thanks @interurbanera.bsky.social!) It's about damn time I start bringing this GMOD railroad into reality.

So, I want to turn Sierra into a Garry’s Mod playermodel. In this process of thinking on it, I’ve decided to test a couple of hair styles on Sierra. I thought about the "Hime" cut first since that means "princess" in Japanese. The beehive meanwhile is a 40s style, and fits since Sierra is a bee.

I’ll see what I’ll eventually do with these. There’s a possibility I could have Sierra in different hair styles through different periods of time.

Well then. Hello. Been a bit, hasn’t it? Where have I been? Well, for one, Sacramento Southeastern stuff for GMOD. Also have been working my ass off in farm work. Minus planning on SSE Decals for HO Scale models, along with looking around for a starter shell, not much is going on.

This is a real kitbash. This is a D33CF, or, an Americanized BR Class 58.

The Selkirk Strip Traction Company was an interurban railroad acquired by the Southern Pacific in 1950 following the death of the owner and her husband. This railroad became a Sacramento Southeastern fallen flag in 2001 when all of its trackage (then abandoned) was purchased and acquired from the Union Pacific.

@interurbanera.bsky.social was always an inspiration for my fictional Sacramento Southeastern. It turns out that both of our railroads share an interchange in Fresno, and I never realized it until a friend of mine showed me the Alta Map. So, have these 2 SD45s. The Alta unit is a work in progress.

I hope we can get proper diagrams for Railpower gensets like the RP20BD. I hate the fact that the only readily available genset models both in Brass and in diecast/plastic is the NRE 3GS21B. It sorta feels infuriating that almost 20 years later, we still don’t have diagrams for ANY Railpower genset.

RPRX 5405, a former Conrail unit turned into an RP20BD at Hughson, near the elevator it works for.

Another RP20BD, this one made in production for Union Pacific out of a former MoPac B30-7A, currently rostered with the Northwestern Pacific.

So while I now have a job to support me, this finally means I can say bye bye to Bachmann EZ Track. The track you’re seeing here is from an Atlas starter set. My next plans are to expand and widen the track to the same 22 radius curves that I had when the Bachmann Track was still in place.

After the SDP45 is finished, up next are U34CHs. These with the HEP Rebuilt FP45s will be the definitive dual commuter/long distance passenger motive power for the SSE until 1986. After that, the units would end up as part of RailDelta with the SDP45s until both models were retired and replaced by F59PHIs and MP36PH-3Cs respectively.

The SDP45s replaced GP9s on commuter duties, of which, 10 were traded to the CB&Q for used E5s to give the long distance routes more motive power to play with, 5 were rebuilt to GP18 specifications, and 8 were traded in to EMD for GP15-1s with the F9s.

Of the commuter power, 2 GP9s survive as part of the SSE’s extensive OCS Roster, and a U34CH survives preserved at Sacramento.
