Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti. "Please get the truth out about our son."

Statement from Michael and Susan Pretti
Parents of Alex Jeffrey Pretti

“We are heartbroken but also very angry.

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.

I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.

Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.

I.. 😞 I had no idea and now I feel terrible for liking them as an option to sketchy drivers.

Technology Connections has a thing or two to say about dishwashers too.

Soo about that… my Switch is uh, kinda bricked. It is still responding to the debug console connection but there’s nothing coming up on the screen. So I ended up getting a Switch 2.

Well as luck would have it, I have the Switch 1 physical cart. When I’m done can lend it to you.

Honestly, having only recently cracked the surface of it, I’m enjoying it for what it is, another entry in the Prime series. It’s not Other M, so no it’s already better than it could have been. I’d much rather have a somewhat mediocre entry than another Federation Force/Other M absolute stinker.

So glad I walked away from the recruitment email I had from them many years ago.

Science has gone too far to the douche-bro side:

A pallet of white boxes with a large blue section on the bottom third of the box. Each box is labeled with 30 grams of protein, sugar free blueberry lemonade flavored sparkling protein water, 16 cans per box.

Ugh… stupid phone autocowrecked. Carrie = drink carrier. It’s like sitting at a table in a restaurant and eating your food from inside To-Go containers versus on a plate.

No super tight lid or Carrie and is usually served in actual cups/glasses rather than cardboard/paper cups.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is another great game if you like noir style mystery games.

I *especially* love it when it decides to cowrecked tech acronyms I’ve typed multiple times before but OBVIOUSLY that’s not the case this time…

100% Any smart device we have/purchase must also have a local/manual mode. I’m fine with Bluetooth controls provided they work with more than just one”master” device. Anything WiFi/cloud only never gets in the door.

I won’t argue the fact that in-ground irrigation is definitely an upscale thing (maybe not a “rich” thing per say), but it can also be a vast improvement over manual watering when you schedule it to run overnight and only section with the plants that need it, like really tall/house killing trees.

It amazes me that the water company sends us a note about a “potential water leak” every spring when we turn the watering schedules back on. Five years they’ve done this…

But…I like my 15 Pro. It’s still working and has great battery life left:

If this is what happens when people dare to write about things someone actually said—a necessary endeavor when it's become clear many folks have a very incomplete picture of the man—we're in trouble. bsky.app/profile/kare...

Maybe a Hot Take but I was not a fan of the old Launch Pad. It felt intrusive and interruptive. I rather like the new window version and alphabetical arrangement.
