I'm not on here much anymore. I hate social media. I miss some of you Richmond friends who I only see on here though so here's a little loop of something I'm working on. I'm still always lurking around Fuzzy and Morty's on the weekends with @kateyrk.bsky.social.

I've got two in my performance rack right now, they bring me a lot of joy, just a wonderful quality to the sounds you can get out of them.

I bring up ROI often in conversations around arts & culture. the promises of big projects like stadiums, etc vs investing in the arts. something like Blink Cincinnati, a light & art festival, spent $7M for their 2024 festival and generated $126M in a weekend vs $_00M and it takes years to build

Hey RVA, this is happening soon and if you aren’t like me and somewhere on 64 eastbound right now, I would encourage you to show up and support the Coalition trying to cancel the cities flock contract! It would mean the world to me

Humble brag @kateyrk.bsky.social and I know a drummer who played with Seat Belts (Bobby Previte). Met him in NYC he was playing the first performance of his Doom Jazz project at a garage show. We hung out after and he said one day I would mildly impress someone with this story so here we go.

My favorite small-ish Eurorack filter right now is the Bastl Ikarie. It can get acidy and growl, but if youre looking for a real 303 sound its a very different filter. Great cv controls.

100

Stimulus Functions Music @stimulusfunctions.bsky.social · 06/04/2026

Maybe not though it doesnt have cv over resonance

Stimulus Functions Music @stimulusfunctions.bsky.social · 06/04/2026

Check out TipTop's Forbidden Planet filter. Its not a 303 clone its a Steiner Parker filter implementation but you might like it.

Would your council sign off on police checkpoints all over the city, requiring every vehicle to stop and have all visible details entered into a database? This is what #ALPR #surveillance does, just without you needing to stop. It does this 24/7, no warrants required! #deflock #fourthamendment

Making music that you would listen to if someone else made it is... something. It can be hard to create in the middle of The Thing Thats Happening. Take breaks and rest when you need to. Do get back to it though. Make things and share them. Also find people doing the same.

Hey Richmond Mayor Danny Avula will the Richmond police be illegally using Flock cameras to track protestors again with no consequences this weekend just like last No Kings protest?

So in Richmond so far Mayor Avula said we dont cooperate with ICE and then we found out ICE uses our Flock cameras, and Sherrif Irving implied we dont cooperate with ICE and yet we do.

In which Richmond's highest-paid public official, who has blown several key deadlines and job responsibilities since being hired by @dannyavula.bsky.social to much fanfare last year, declares himself deserving of "at least a year" of severance pay: www.richmonder.org/budget-propo...

During Monday’s meeting, Councilor Kenya Gibson (3rd District) said she was concerned about large payouts and whether they would help or hurt staff consistency.

“If someone could make a $200,000 payout by leaving, I’m not sure that serves our residents best,” Gibson said.

Donald said the proposed severance policy would help make the city a “model employer.”

Referring to himself as one of the most “sought-after” public administrators in the country, Donald said he was unlikely to take a job anywhere “without an agreement to have a severance of at least a year.”

The possibility of a severance payout can be an important staff protection, he said, especially in a “very politicized environment.”

“This is a tough environment to work in,” Donald said. “I can tell you that myself. It’s just not easy.”

There is no specific amount of money budgeted for increased severance in Avula’s budget proposal. Donald indicated any payouts would likely be funded through vacancy savings or other measures.

These people would make me want to not buy games with LLM generated art in them even if I didnt care about the issue because their response to people not wanting it is so juvenile. "Man up and shut up and give us money for slop!" How about no.
