I'm pretty sure it's an Epiphone Wilshire Phant-o-Matic. Seems it's a Frank Iero (from My Chemical Romance) signature model which was produced between 2011 and 2019. Currently available either side of £900 on eBay UK.

I'll have to ask people to indulge a little guitar nerdery for a moment, if you please. I offered @vintagesilvertones.bsky.social and @bobgriffiths20.bsky.social photos of the modified wiring in one of my guitars, and here it be. Normal service will resume shortly.

One more Bluesky cat on Saturday. Billy is a recent arrival through the catflap and seems to spend a bit of time here rather than his official home. Don't know where that is but positive he has one. A young male, he's quite disruptive with our cats but may possibly be starting to calm down a bit.

Resurrected a guitar project today that's been sitting abandoned for more than a year. A way forward was suggested by seeing an early Les Paul abomination as shown here by @vintagesilvertones.bsky.social a few months ago. Thanks, buddy. Still a long, long way to go. 🧑‍🔧

Plainly it's not just the house, it's where it's located. Chelsea was gentrified long ago. Oakley St runs from the Kings Rd to the Albert Bridge and at the latter end is the site of one of my favourite public sculptures. A nice address. 'Old money' and business lets. The class system in action.

Cats on Saturday – pt2. Moggins, Mogz, Princess Moggalina was the first of our current crop of felines. She was more or less abandoned by neighbours and chose to adopt us instead. The regular feeding and provision of warm spots during winters must have helped. A mature woman these days.

Most of Penelope Keith's TV work was too MOR for my tastes at the time, and I was never lucky enough to see her on the stage. I do respect her great skill though (BBC: 'formidable') and for having a very successful career despite being turned down by RADA for being 5'10" tall. Hah!

Attended an album launch party in a Soho gallery on the 18th for Nina Antonia and The Lunar Moths. The excellent James Hallawell on keys added to the core band on this occasion. The music was wonderful, as expected, but the stage crew in me looked at all those cables and went "Boys, boys, boys!".
