DANELECTRO DC59 Limited Edition ("3021") - 2pu black solidbody reissue China 2010. For Sale. Back to 2010 w/Danelectro reissuing the 3021 in a simplified version w/1-tone & 1-vol knob. This NOS axe will Take You There! www.vintagesilvertones.com/product/dane... #VintageGuitar #Guitar #Danelectro
This is a DC59 Limited Edition/3021 reissue, six string electric guitar made by Danelectro in China 2010 in a black finish. The “seal” pickguard is white and has an aged finish. It is a double-cutaway, masonite top and bottom with a plywood frame. This DC59 Limited Edition/3021 reissue is basically new-old-stock (NOS). You even get to remove the plastic on the cavity cover! The matt black finish is a sharp looking with white tolex binding. Overall, Danelectro issued this model with an aged finish that’s apparent in the body color, pickguard, pickups and tuners. The pickups and electronics are simplified to one tone and one volume control with a three-way toggle switch to choose between neck, bridge or both pickups. This model was a limited run and has unique pickups and tone. They’re strong and bright single coils with a matt finish. And, these single-coils are considerably more clean sounding than most. The modern bridge is fully adjustable for height and intonation similar to some later models. It comes with a good quality gig bag.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

DANELECTRO 3011 - 1pu black electric guitar gig-bag Neptune New Jersey 1960. For sale. A history unknown aside from the road scars. A well maintained survivor from the 60s capable of some serious single-coil grit! www.vintagesilvertones.com/product/dane... #VintageGuitar #Guitar #Danelectro
This guitar is a 1960 Danelectro 3011 “Standard”, double-cutaway, in a black finish with one pickup and a white “seal” pickguard. The finish shows its 60+ years of use with nicks, scratches, scrapes, and lots of genuine playing wear. The tone pot barely works. It’s very subtle, at best. The Short Horn Series was offered between 1958 and 1966. The guitar is 100% original and has all of the classic features: black finish with a white seal shaped pickguard on which the controls and input are mounted. It's a double cutaway semi-hollow body with a “Solid Center” construction consisting of a masonite top and back on a pine frame. There's one single coil lipstick tube pickup, a Coke-bottle headstock, and a two-way adjustable chrome plated brass bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle. The body has white tolex binding with two metal strap pins. This model is similar to and often confused with the two pickup 3021 model made famous by Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. The guitar plays and sounds great. You can feel and hear the sweetness that ripened within it over the years. It comes with a gig bag. Grab this classic while you can. They’re become harder and harder to find.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

DOUBLE CUTAWAY 1959 REISSUE ORIGINAL FACTORY SPEC/3021 - 2pu psychedelic hand painted multi-colors solidbody China 2011. For sale. No you're not trippin! Ltd run Danelectro DC59 hand painted like Eric Clapton's 3021. www.vintagesilvertones.com/product/dane... #VintageGuitar #Guitar #Danelectro
This is a Double Cutaway (DC59) 1959 Reissue Original Factory Spec/3021 reissue, six string electric guitar made by Danelectro in 2011 in a hand-painted psychedelic multi-colored finish. Aside from the fretboard, the entire guitar has the hand-painted psychedelic multi-colored finish including the “seal” pickguard. The guitar is an homage to Eric Clapton’s hand-painted Danelectro 3021 used during his Blind Faith period. This is a limited edition of 200 guitars and each guitar has a unique paint job. It is a double cutaway, masonite top and bottom with a plywood frame. This DC59/3021 reissue is basically new-old-stock (NOS). But, this model has been updated and made fully playable by the author of the Danelectro book: “Neptune Bound.” The author felt the guitar wasn’t playable as released. So he removed the paint from the fretboard and frets and replaced the stock bridge with a better quality chrome-plated one. So the guitar is fully playable and not a wall-hanger. The pickups and electronics are simplified to one tone, one volume control with a three-way toggle switch to choose between neck, bridge or both pickups. In the middle position the pickups are louder and act like humbuckers. This model was a limited run and has unique pickups and tone. They’re strong and bright single coils with a matt finish. And, these single-coils are considerably more clean sounding than most. The classic Danelectro-style bridge is adjustable for height and intonation. It comes with the original Danelectro gig bag, warranty card, and wrench to adjust the neck (the adjustment must be under the nut or in the neck-pocket since it’s not visible on the body.)Description from VintageSilvertones.com

25 Years ago today the world changed. NYC went from being a target to attacked. The moment hangs heavy. So we're taking a break from our regular programming to honor those lives lost & the impact its had since that horrific day. www.vintagesilvertones.com #VintageGuitar #Guitar #September11
The morning of September 11, 2001, I awoke, turned on the TV to New York 1 News to the earliest coverage of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. I watched for a few minutes, from my Greenwich Village apartment, then grabbed my cameras and walked down Greenwich Street towards the towers. I documented the entire route and shot my last rolls of film that day. Shown are Greenwich and Christoper Streets with crowds in astonishment at the World Trade Center buildings burning in the top photo. The middle photo is at Canal and Greenwich Streets with the towers further engulfed in flames. Emergency vehicles flew by covered in the dust. The bottom photo is shortly after the second tower collapsed into a massive cloud of dust, smoke, and who knows what other toxins. We mourn the loss of all those lives lost that earth shattering day. The world was never the same.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

This is a Coronado electric guitar made by Kay of Chicago for the Gambles Department store around 1965. Kay made guitars for many department stores including Sears, Montgomery Wards, Aldens and Gambles. The Titan was one of Kay’s top-of-the-line guitars. It is a rare, solidbody guitar featuring a natural mahogany wood body, neck and headstock along with a rosewood fretboard. It has two single coil Barney Kessel Kleenex Box pickups, Kluson Deluxe tuners and a Bigsby tailpiece/tremolo. It’s also good if you are looking for something a little different with which to impress your fellow guitarist friends. The guitar is 100% original and in good condition with only a few minor scrapes to the finish. It has a fantastic fast action, terrific tone and it is a pleasure to play. BARTELL HOLLOWBODY - 2pu blue hollowbody electric guitar ohsc Riverside CA 1964. Sold. Request-Ric's/oddities: Rickenbackers-related Paul Barth designed hollowbody. Bartell had a very small run of guitars. They're very hard to find. www.vintagesilvertones.com #VintageGuitar #Guitar #Bartell
This is a very rare, double cutaway, two pickup, blue Bartell thinline electric guitar, created by master craftsman, Paul Barth, circa 1964. It is similar to the company's Spyder guitar but it is a hollow body with an F-hole. The guitar looks like it is somewhere between a Magnatone and a Mosrite in design, perhaps because of Barth's association with those producers. Barth also worked for Rickenbacker. His co-worker there, Roger Rossmeisel, introduced the German carve, a beveled ridge around the top of a guitar, to the company. Both Bartell and Mosrite guitars feature the German carve. This guitar also has some of the other features Bartell is known for, including: a strat-style offset double cutaway body, a Strat-inspired headstock and two single coil pickups. This Bartell also has a switch that takes the pickups out of phase with each other. The guitar is 100% original (minus the tremolo arm) and in good condition. The action is fast and it plays fantastically. The sweet, rocking tone screams the story of the guitar's fifty plus years of musical history. It also comes with its original hardshell case.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

Joe Gray owned this Sears Silvertone electric guitar, and in late 1958 to summer of 1959 not having a guitar of his own, Hendrix occasionally borrowed it to play gigs with the Velvetones. In September of that year the friends parted ways, as Hendrix entered Garfield High School and Gray attended Franklin High School. Around that time, Hendrix joined a new group, the Rocking Kings and his father, Al Hendrix bought him his first electric guitar, a Supro Ozark. Jimmy played that guitar with Rocking Kings until the spring of 1960, when it was stolen after a gig at Birdland. That summer, Al purchase Jimmy a new guitar, a Danelectro on which Jimmy painted the name "Betty Jean" after his high school sweetheart, Betty Jean Morgan.
