I found this book in my library from when I was working on Swedish. I didn’t read it then, but enjoying it now, reading & listening to the audiobook, both in Swedish of course . Lots of personal details about Napoleon. Herman Lindquist is one of my favorite historians .

Canada didn't force the integration of much of our economy w/ the US. No one forced US consumers to benefit from inexpensive high quality products from China. Now, suddenly all scrapped by a president whining that the US was "ripped off". We'll see if the new order is better or not.

Most of Canada's fentanyl, by far, comes from the US, originating in Mexico. More fentanyl flows north from the US, as opposed to south into the US. There is already lots of cooperation between Canadian and US police agencies on this. What is this fraudster talking about?

Speaking a foreign language I never know if the right words will come when I need them. Often enough they do. Sometimes they jump the track & I say شما (you) in Persian when I meant to say چی (what) because "what" in Mandarin is 什么, pronounced just like شما.

Just realized that only in writing systems I've written by hand (Latin letters, Chinese characters) can I visualize the written word when I hear it. I could try to write more by hand in Persian/Arabic, Cyrillic, Hangul, Kana, Greek but I prefer to just to read, listen &speak.

Reading in Persian I realize that while I needed the code to get started, now in my reading, I rely more on knowing the word or subconsciously recognizing the pattern. Non Persian words/names, even from a language I know, are harder to decode than new true Persian words.

To lose weight, we need to eat less & eat healthy, and be physically active. To learn languages, we need to read & listen a lot and speak when we have the chance. Many people know this but lack the motivation to stick with it for long enough to see results.

Fentanyl is made out of drug components from China. These are combined in labs in Mexico and elsewhere to make Fentanyl. How much Fentanyl is made in labs in the US in this way? Does anyone know?
