I’d happily see every episode again. It was the BBC at its best. Interesting, witty, educational. And not interested in the money. Just doing some investigation and coming to a conclusion.

We found ourselves in St Remy once. Lovely place, good cycling, but the Alpilles shut due to fire risk.

We once rented a cottage near there with a hot tub with those views. It was a cold run back to the cottage. ❄️

I met my wife twenty odd years ago climbing. I realised I was crap at climbing and we gave up soon after. The harness still gets some use pruning the apple tree.

I’ve just discovered that the German for Ostrich is Strauss. There may be a joke there about Johan Strauss and his waltzes but I can’t think of one.

It would be far better if they moved out of that absurd, archaic building which is costing upward of a billion to make even vaguely suitable for a parliament, let it become a wonderful museum and built a new parliament, perhaps in the Midlands

Alice Brock, whose Massachusetts diner was immortalized in Arlo Guthrie’s 1967 song “Alice’s Restaurant,” died on Thursday — just a week before Thanksgiving, the holiday during which the story at the center of the song takes place. She was 83.

Post-Brexit Britain’s Trump problem goes much deeper than trade tariffs. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. The discussion of how the UK might respond to Trump's tariffs is already confused, and anyway misses the bigger challenge they betoken: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/post...

Disappointing from LDs on farms. I get that they see opportunity in rural seats, but to say NO landowners, of any size, should pay inheritance tax, attack gov’t for NICs, and not even mention Brexit, duff deals, etc. is pretty poor. We need more heft on the left & they’re going Cleggy again. #BBCQT

I treat it as a brain stretcher. Stops me wasting my entire life on Twitter or now Bluesky. I can understand newspapers, although vocabulary is different. Also had a better understanding of St John’s Passion when I heard it last. Also for me a response to Brexit.
