This was me before my book launch party last week (and also before every major event where I will be perceived)

I'm curious to see a version of this pitch with more goals, obstacles, and stakes for the MC! What is Ella hoping to do? Who is stopping her? What does she lose if she gets in trouble?

That last line gives such magical feels! I wonder if there's a way to trim and clarify. Do we need "best"? Maybe try "scrambling" instead of "needing"? I get the sense there's a theme of too structured vs. free play. If so, I would love to see a closer connection between these ideas in the pitch!

Guessing this is a school setting. I wonder if adding some context would help (are there other students? how does she feel about their reactions?) The other place I might clarify is "to bringing herself out of ridicule". Maybe rephrase, and if there's a way to hint at what kind of attempts these are
