Worth following: publishers are incorrectly claiming payouts on the Anthropic lawsuit, like claiming 100%, or even claiming titles that are reverted/out of print. If you're an author, assuming you already made a claim (that deadline was March), check now -- there's still time to dispute this.

As the summer was so very hot here, I had to wear lots of sun screen and avoid the outdoors where possible. Classic pasty red head stuff. I did that so effectively however that I now have a pretty severe vitamin D deficiency. So just lost in a perpetual brain fog and exhausted round the clock.

The 6G spec is out. I'm working through it this afternoon and it looks BETTER than we had hoped for music. It's almost like they were keeping up with the internet of sounds research ?!? Challenge now is ensuring that this isn't co-opted into surveillance infrastructure. Much work need there now.

Finishing music composition work and sliding back into engineering research as the summer ends. The now comforting grids of logic, maths and code will slowly become oppressive over the next few months and I'll have to immerse myself in composition and performance again. But for now, I'm an engineer.
