Someone on the Luigi’s Mansion fandom wiki thought the cowboy’s cheeks were glowing yellow eyes or sunglasses. I made an account just to correct that trivia, but I have to admit I also saw them as yellow heart eyes when I was a kid. 😍🤠

It’s been in reference to certain times in history or humans before a certain point in history or someone having a stroke and losing free will. Not targeting a contemporary people group, but it just feels like a dangerous concept to introduce or entertain. All people are people.

In the last few months I’ve seen a few instances online of people speculating that people can behave normal without being “conscious”. Like they act like a person but there’s no soul inside experiencing it… …Are we like… gearing up for an atrocity? Is that what’s happening?

In #LuigisMansion, the sheet covering the mirror in the foyer mysteriously reappears if you take a step toward the double doors on the upper level. It’s probably just the result of assets unloading and reloading for memory management, but it has the side benefit of adding to the unease. #nintendo

I was mostly done the game before I heard that there was anything other than positive hype for TotK. I probably won’t go THAT far to avoid spoilers again, but it did teach me that you shouldn’t watch trailers for something you’re already sold on. Trailers spoil whatever they have to to make a sale.

Playing Tears of the Kingdom without knowing anything other than the original teaser was a lot of work and discipline to accomplish but it was an amazing experience to beat the first couple shrines and realize “wait THIS is the gameplay?” and also to form my own opinions unaffected by discourse.

If you’re going to play #LuigisMansion on Switch 2, I recommend going into the settings and enabling the European version. If you beat that version, you’ll be able to play the “Hidden Mansion” in Mirror Mode. #nintendo

If you use the standard control scheme in #LuigisMansion you can press up on the C-stick while standing still to speed up Luigi’s idle animation. Effectively making him look like he’s more excited. #nintendo

Once I discovered that the ghost behind the curtain was a pig woman, I think my next playthrough I thought those sinister eyes were supposed to be pig nostrils, but that didn’t stick, so then I oscillated between the big brained alien and pure bafflement.

Luigi’s Mansion has this scene were a showering ghost casts a saucy shadow of a woman washing her hair. My naïve young mind however, (despite as I recall being quite attracted to the angel statues) instead interpreted this silhouette as a sinister big-brained alien creature until years later.

Big Bird’s Red Book.

Whenever I open a jpg in Photoshop and it has some sort of image corruption, and then I open it in a legacy version of MS Paint and it displays perfectly and resaves it in a jpg format Photoshop can handle… I just feel very proud of MS Paint like its my good boy. Happens more often than you expect.

In a 1992 issue of Nintendo Power, several years before Ocarina, there is a Zelda comic where Link is depicted with a fairy companion who is drawn as a glowing orb with wings, but when they zoom in on her she has a full humanoid body. I think it's safe to say this was a known artistic shorthand.

I recently saw some discourse over weather Zelda fairies are literally glowing orbs, or if they're tiny humanoids enveloped in light. I'm team humanoid. And I like the beta design for Navi is still essentially how she looks if you peer into that ball of light.

I just realized you could use the angle of the moon phases in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, along with the wind direction compass to determine the latitude of Wind Waker's map, and I should not have been surprised to discover they just based it on what the moon looks like at Japan's latitude.

As the Hyrule Warriors roster proves, the friendly supporting cast of the Zelda franchise is cast like The Bachelor. Just a buffet of potential ships for your strapping elf bachelor. The only correct ship is Rosa though because they’ve canonically dated. And she brings a lot to the table like a key

I mean they did also redesign Diddy for Bananza, it’s just a lot more subtle. They gave him teeth, a more dramatic nose bump, a DD pin on his hat, and what bugs me most is the little sliver of flesh between his eyes.

I’m glad people seems to be okay with DK’s redesign in Bananza. I still don’t like the redesign they gave Diddy Kong in the N64 era. His eyes shouldn’t be that blue and his brim shouldn’t be that pointy.

Was Link’s design ALWAYS inspired by Peter Pan, or did we just assume that after they leaned HARD on Peter Pan for Ocarina of Time? I just never really noticed how many of the parallels trace back to Ocarina specifically.
