I've decided to shut my business and do more volunteer / community work. If you know of an organisation which could use a board member with strong digital skills, extensive experience in open source and open standards, or cybersecurity please let me know.

A lot of the quotes on this are focused on anti vaxxers, however that's only 1 factor for why children might not be vaccinated

This was what I remember from my very first degree. Also the act of going to look for recommended reading books, would mean coming across other very interesting books.

Keeping your New Year's resolutions on track can be hard, even for those of us in health psychology! So if you need a helping hand (or a new research area to explore), here are 5 books by psychologists on popular resolution topics: sleep, stress, drinking, exercise and eating.
A pile of books on a wooden table, with the words "5 health psychology books for the New Year" in text above

Have made a Christmas hamper for the food bank (they do a campaign every year - we decorate big cardboard boxes with wrapping paper and then fill them with food). Given how deprived our area is, I'm always touched by the number of hampers they receive.

Increasingly baffled by "AI powered" summaries and searches on academic papers. firstly, the abstract is the summary, secondly if I need to understand something about the paper, I can read it? if I need to find a specific phrase ctrl f does absolutely fine

This seems bizarre to me, and perhaps due to viewing lived experience as simply a matter of whether people fit in one box or another.

If we begin by assuming students are dishonest, lazy, or deliberately disengaged we miss what else is going on (pandemic, school experiences, skills gaps, poverty, personal histories, disabilities, language barriers etc). It doesn't foster trust. Nor enable us to identify issues and find solutions
