For a good while after the WW2 had ended, every now and then a Finnish conscript was issued a piece of clothing with one or a few small round holes (apprx. 7,62 - 9 mm) that had been patched... when a nation doesn't have much money, slightly used clothes will not be thrown away 🙄

No harm done, she's a smart girl. However, there are real predators going after young girls in the social media. Personally I don't think any one under 16 should be allowed to use public social media, but that's besides the point. It is notable however, that many of these guys are immigrants.

To be fair, I think women can also take care of themselves. When Arab men in their twenties send dating messages to my niece, who is 14, she reported them (multiple times) to police on her own. This came as a surprise to my sister, when police called them to ask for more information.

Majority of these accounts are presumably bots, but that's not the important part. It's the normalisation of a controversial idea through continued exposure. Akin to normalising Russian sabotage operations in Europe as a normal cost of helping Ukraine / opposing Russia. It's exhausting and annoying.

In 2023, 28% of adults in the USA scored at or below Level 1 and 29% at Level 2. I'd be surprised if the majority of these people could explain what democracy is all about and how it is supposed to work in a society. These people are easily manipulated because they are so poorly educated.
