The destruction of the East Wing really bums me out in a way that I wasn't expecting. I guess some of it is about the destruction of history. But I think it's mostly about the feeling of helplessness. There's nothing we can do to stop him. Nobody is coming to save us. And it's going to get worse.

Awww the lads 💙 I would think growing up in postWWII Liverpool there would be little else to satisfy a lad's tummy but bread, tea, maybe some jam and the occasional meat. I know things are better in the '60s but I remember my gran telling me they lived off bread and lard and beans for a decade. Wow.

The sexual assault trial of 5 hockey players is over, they were found not guilty. But many of us will never be confident that justice was served. The judge mishandled the trial, dismissed the jury and the alleged victim was subjected to day after day of interrogation by 5 different legal teams.

The hockey Canada verdicts came back today as Not Guilty and that puts the final nail in the coffin of me wishing professional athletes would be held to the same standards as regular people. Absolutely abhorrent, my heart & love is with all survivors today.
