Generally fine with coaches and executives doing what they need to for their careers, but there's got to be more to the story. The optics are awful, especially since KEA delayed his start with #MNUFC to wrap things up at Barnsley. What's different now.

After the last few games with Dieng starting for #MNUFC, I think it's clear he is the way forward at striker. He is much more dynamic than Yeboah, shown some good skills, and his hold up play has improved dramatically since the start of the season (even if it's not quite there yet).

#MNUFC should always play Caldeira with Pereyra. They've got some synergy (although it's probably game state related). I'd at least bring Caldeira on before Gonzalez when we need a goal.

This is a better lineup for #MNUFC. Curious about Diaz at LCB. Will Pereyra play as a true 10? I was never super impressed by the Tani-Yeboah lineups, but maybe Dieng can be dynamic enough to create some space for Yeboah.

Doyle's right about James, would have been fun to bring him back. I spent the whole group stage over indexing and wishcasting who #MNUFC should sign too. I'm on the Elijah Just train (maybe Boxall can put in a good word) and like the look of Oscar Bobb (can beat someone off the dribble).

Spain are designed to make opponents suffer if they aren’t at their best. It’s a model that can work against any team in international football. Even – and, given three semi-finals’ worth of evidence, especially – mighty France.

Back in high school, I played in a tournament where the PK rule was once the ref blows the whistle the goalie could leave their line. Really changed the feel and strategy. It's a variation on PK rules I really like (besides the OG MLS shootout).

I'm guessing #MNUFC see a heavily rotated LAFC tomorrow. No Son or Bouanga except late or cameo appearances. Good game for James to start. LAFC will likely be bunkering and countering with a rotated squad on the road. Loons will need some extra quality/creativity in the final third.

Important win over this Timbers team for #MNUFC. Played well enough but got lucky Basset managed to hit the post on his chance (see the big circle on the 6). Loons did a good job absorbing pressure in the 2nd half and didn't give up many good chances (except the offsides call on Kelsey's goal).

Really great essay. This section really hit me. I did this exact thing.

He is going to go through System Settings, panel by panel, and adjust everything he can adjust just to see how he likes it. He is going to make a folder called “Projects” with nothing in it. He is going to download Blender because someone on Reddit said it was free, and then stare at the interface for forty-five minutes.

I think this is generous from Doyle regarding #MNUFC, but not too far off. I think the Loons should see Nashville as the goal of where their evolution should take them. Even if that takes them more than a season to get there.

The Loons, to their credit, were not overwhelmed. It was more just a matter of being outplayed by one of the region's best teams.
