Performed as a sacred rite at Shinto shrines, the archer must shoot three wooden targets in rapid succession while galloping down a narrow, two-hundred-meter track. One thing I notice is a huge gulf between yuri manga and yuri-in-anime. In yuri manga it is absolutely commonplace for characters to have sexual feelings, and to explore these sexual feelings in a way important to the plot.

and never forget--framing and aesthetics supersede the actual text, ALWAYS. even if the villain DOES look into the camera and say "what i'm doing is bad," if the framing, subtext, etc., present those actions as sympathetic, then the audience will (CORRECTLY) read the disavowal as superficial
