I could code before AI. Every time I ask it to give me code now, I’m suspicious as hell of it, and I review it completely, and I often change things manually that I would have done differently. I should have just written the fucking code! And I know people aren’t checking, they’re “vibe coding”.

Because let’s be honest, AI doesn’t know anything you couldn’t already find out. It literally consumed all the things we did and it’s spitting them back out to us. It’s just our stuff, our knowledge, our ideas. Why are we pouring so much time and resources into this?

I got hooked while driving to work. I read on the train and subway, but couldn’t in the car when I moved to the suburbs. Now I can usually listen on walks too, but it doesn’t work for me in all situations. If I have any task that requires real thought, I can’t help but tune it out 🤷‍♂️

My most conservative take, at least in Canada : you get really good tax breaks for donating to charities and you’re actively redirecting money away from the federal government to wherever you want. That’s a value-based way you can affect the world around you, by directing funds at your discretion.

Things move so quickly these days, it’s easy to forget what a tour de force #ArcaneNetflix was. Although it felt like it was 3 seasons worth of material, every POV in the series had a profound transformation, with dialogue, scene choice and animation that stretched the medium. I’m humbled.
