First School Boat of the season today, with 1 fishing Osprey, 104(!) Spoonbill, c200 Avocet, 5 GW Egret + lots more for 65 children to see and learn about. Each year we take out 1200+ children for free on School Boats, thanks to funding from @lush.com & boat and skippers from Greenslades.

Highlight of today's dragonfly transect on RSPB Ham Wall definitely 2+ Willow Emeralds (by the South Drain opposite the Old Station cottage if anyone's interested). Still rare in Somerset, though definitely colonising. Lots of Common Darters and quite a few Migrant Hawkers otherwise.

Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch (MWDW) says almost 100 sightings have been reported so far this year, compared to just 20 sightings last year. "It's because the food is here, more than anything," said MWDW's Jen Adams.
