I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

Among the worst ideas floating around is that "the free market" will naturally achieve desirable results for society. No, it won't, not even in theory, much less in practice. Markets don't optimize "good for society" unless you make them.

Reminder that in 2025, the Trump admin. removed the TQ from LGBTQ on federal websites & deleted research on LGBTQ people. 2025 the highest number of documented book challenges ever recorded (slightly below 2023). Of these - 40% represent the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people and people of color. 92 percent of the challenges were initiated by pressure groups to suppress the stories LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 🍎 🗃️
