Definitely research coconut sugar vs. white so you can account for your numbers correctly with the flour and whatever, but it is lower. (I’m not diabetic but I bake for people with various needs and low sugar is one!) Another tip may be to use almond flour vs. white flour. It makes great brownies!

Coconut sugar can usually do what white sugar does, and with less of it, but sometimes gets grainy. It has a lower glycemic index than white sugar, but isn’t zero like stevia or Splenda. Can definitely be subbed for brown sugar. Sometimes still need a bit of white for structure if subbing that.

We’ve luckily ended up with one cat who chose my husband as his person, one who chose me, and one who takes whomever is available at his prescribed 3pm cuddle time. No idea why 3pm. He is almost always on time though!

CBT wants to change your thought patterns and ACT wants you to accept them and move through them. That worked better for me because CBT often made me feel like I was failing therapy. ACT has helped me to keep moving and given me the ability to say what is/isn’t working so we can try something else.

As they come. So for me, we started by identifying my values and how they can relate to and guide my thoughts and actions. Look into ACT therapy vs. CBT. CBT is the most common kind and it only sorta worked for me. ACT has more discernible goals and ways to tell if the tools are working or not. So even if you get a bad therapist or a bad match, you should be able to tell within a month or so if they aren’t for you.

My cat uses speech buttons and has one for poop. We had to model it for him, so of course we said when we go to the bathroom to poop. He now uses it like a swear word half the time. Best guess is because he gets mad when we disappear behind the bathroom door for a bit. Thus 💩 =🤬 😂😂💀💀

Yes! I have two cats with seasonal allergies. One of them has a chronic sneeze with boogers all year round, probably due to a bad case of FCV when he was a baby at the shelter. It gets so much worse in spring and better in winter. Both cats get Zyrtec every day (vet ordered).

What they see is us doing what we HAVE to do to survive and be good humans. Often when they do those things. But not the planning, the spoons… We all do what we can. Still sucks when we can’t. Joy and grief, moment to moment. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos and what it took to take them. 🩵

I do have energy. I use it all to take care of my health, my family, my job, and my neighbors. That’s enough, but that’s also it. I have a very small social life and no regular hobbies outside of reading and occasionally drawing. So yeah, I am *that* fatigued. And it sucks. And people don’t get it.+

Sometimes I think I’m not *that* fatigued or disabled. Like, I DO things. And then I see a post like this and remember how I’d be out with my camera all the time. Not any more. Used to play guitar. Nope. Used to craft and sew. Nuh-uh. Used to fix things around the house. You guessed it. +

I lost a good bit of weight from depression (wasn’t really eating) and people kept complimenting me. I was way too thin! It made it worse. I finally started replying I’d been sick and didn’t want to lose any weight so people would STFU. That did kinda help the depression TBH 😂

I forgot how much Sploot loves his catnip banana. Yesterday he wanted to sniff my actual banana (peel) and I thought nothing of it. His scrunched up face and jerked back head said EW GROSS! How dare!

Oooo! I’m going to save this!

Last night it took away my choice to sleep! Today, it’s taking away my choice to do anything without pain. Including rest. So my choices today are narrowed down to what hurts the least, not what doesn’t hurt. Except for chocolate. That doesn’t hurt, so I ate some!

At Costco, I took a photo of these for my husband because it was way too many chips for a bit. 😂

Colorful boxes labelled RAP SNACKS and they have Snoop Dogg’s face on them. The boxes say they contain containing individual bags of kettle cooked chips made with avocado oil. They are non GMO and gluten free! They come in 3 flavors. Sour cream cheddar and ranch. Maple bbq. And All In. All In is a concoction containing chips of various flavorings: salt and vinegar, cheddar, bbq, onion, garlic and the mysterious AND MORE flavor.

Up all night with fibromyalgia pain. Could sleep in this morning except my cat thinks it’s his job to be my alarm clock even though he’s been fed!

I have a beautiful idiot, a coup-planner, and a third thing. Extremely bossy lord of the manor maybe?

My fluffy tabby loves being on the catio at night for the bug hunting—and brings his prizes inside. I had to rescue a HUGE spider from him the other night and he also spent so much time looking for it. Didn’t at all register the critter catcher thing grabbing it and airlifting it to safety outside 😂
