At Costco, I took a photo of these for my husband because it was way too many chips for a bit. 😂

Colorful boxes labelled RAP SNACKS and they have Snoop Dogg’s face on them. The boxes say they contain containing individual bags of kettle cooked chips made with avocado oil. They are non GMO and gluten free! They come in 3 flavors. Sour cream cheddar and ranch. Maple bbq. And All In. All In is a concoction containing chips of various flavorings: salt and vinegar, cheddar, bbq, onion, garlic and the mysterious AND MORE flavor.

Got this one from Wayfair a few years ago and it’s remained a hit. Very sturdy. The soft lounging areas come off and are machine washable. The litter box hider at the bottom is pretty great too. Even my big boy can fit inside.

Caturday naps are the best naps.

Baby’s first cane! Recently learned I can’t take my hiking pole in my carry-on because of the ice tip under the rubber cap. So… Teal cane and little octopus friend. It’s actually way more comfortable than the pole, less vibrations up through my elbow. I’m very excited about it!

The same fluffy brown and cream tabby has laid back into an even more comfy lounge on my lap. All four paws are pointed toward you and the focus of the photo. They are all white with varying degrees of dark brown ankle except for one white ankle. Very long tufts of white fur extend from his black toe beans on his back paws. One front paw is slightly hidden. The other is angled so you cane see his fluffy toes but not his beans. It looks a bit like a fist, but he’s very relaxed and just holding it out for you to admire.

The same fluffy brown and cream tabby has laid completely on his back on my lap. You can see his very fluffy cream belly. Only one back paw is visible. It has the longest dark brown ankle sock, so only his toes are white. Tufts of white fur extend from his black toe beans. His face and long whiskers are very relaxed. In fact, he’s so relaxed and turning into liquid-cat, after this photo was taken, he had a hard time righting himself and I had to pick him up and put him on his feet haha!

Afternoon snack: corn dipper chips and Trader Joe’s vegan tzatziki, so I don’t have to take a lactase. Stupid lack of lactose-processing enzymes 😒 I also just got this pesto sheep cheese and because it’s aged and sheep, I can also eat it with a lactase! Herbs are the baaa-mb! (I’ll see myself out 👋)

International Cat Day and Caturday? Here is Fidget being the babiest of babies. To cut his nails, we distract him with beef baby food. He grabbed the pouch and, well, baby!

Here’s a fun tail fact about Tinker. His has stronger muscles than the average cat. When he does happy tail up, it curves over his back (📸1). Sometimes even touches it! Annoyed tail looks like tail up (📸2). It’s never quite at the right height or angle for what he’s saying. Miscommunications abound!

We know better than to mess with Fidget’s box/nest full of brown papers. He gets the papers changed out periodically, but he’s had the same box for half a year. Even his box-chewing brother knows not to gnaw on it—and he gnaws on ANYTHING cardboard.

Caturday milestone! Fidget (tux) used 2 buttons in a novel way to say what he didn’t have words for. Sploot (tabby) did a VERY smelly poop. Fidget started to ask for snacks, stopped, then deliberately pressed POOP HUG. I.e. poop smell is hugging (surrounding?) us? He wasn’t wrong! 😂💀 #FluentPet

Another Caturday post! The fruits of my cat-nail harvest. All 3 cats trimmed. They were needles! The trick to trimming without incident is one person trims with the cat on their lap and another person uses a pouch of beef stew baby food as a lick treat. They only get it for nail trims. They line up!

My (a white lady) hand with a pile of clear-ish cat nail trimmings. Some are thick and many are tiny needle points you can barely see. It was past time for a trim, as the 4 plasters hidden on my body out of frame can attest to. 3 are from yesterday! Just cats being cats, not even trying to get me.

Haven’t done a Caturday post in a while. Life has gotten complicated. BUT we had our FIRST moment of all 3 cats in a cuddle puddle so I am taking the win! Sploot is always the social bridge for Tinker and Fidget, who plays too hard with the old man. See alt text for more details about their dynamic.

A black cat (Fidget), fluffy black/brown tabby cat (Sploot), and cream/brown Siamese-type cat (Tinker) are cuddled up on a fuzzy teal blanket on my oversized armchair in that order. Fidget is curled into a sleepy ball. Sploot is sprawled out and has his eyes closed after he did a wash. Tinker has his head bent, touching Sploot. They take up the whole chair seat. Tinker just left the warm cat bed on the arm of the chair to join the cuddle puddle, which is unheard of. He generally avoids Fidget because he plays too aggressively and targets old man Tinker. Tinker came to ask Sploot for face washes and stayed to return the favor before heading on his way. Fidget stayed curled up and didn’t harass anyone. What a win!!!

It’s a Caturday miracle!! Sploot and Tinker are having their first wash and cuddle! Grandpa Tinker still gets full use of the orthopedic warming bed though. 😂

Remembering Pharnsworth on his gotcha day—first one without him. He was the best cat and such an emotional support. Always took care of me when my fibromyalgia flared. I miss him everyday, even a year later. When I whispered this to him, he’d purr and knead so hard: “Pharnsworth, Sarah, besties.” 🌈
