Continuing to believe in us is hard, and it’s worth remembering that it’s harder for some than others. Fear and distrust of humans are valid feelings for someone who has experienced trauma and injustice firsthand. 000

Expressing pain and coping with humor aren’t immoral or anti-human. 100
