Melon: I wanted Beren to build a bot, and so he did! At first I was thinking of making them black and blue, but when I was going to pick an umbrella for them I saw this cute melon umbrella and remembered that there was a red and green chassis, that's how they became Melon.

Kodex and Eve: The game generated Kodex and Eve when Beren studied at Foxbury, before I started with the story. They liked to hang out with Beren, so when I started the story they of course needed to be included.

I actually hadn't played with Ahriman in a long time when SimGuruGeorge made a post where he asked us to show a Sim with a hair from Cottage Living, a top from Vampires, and a bottom from Cats & Dogs, and I decided to try it with Ahriman. That's how Ahriman got a new style.

Ahriman with their new style, in 2022. The differences are that she has short hair with an undercut, slightly less heavy eyeshadow, red lipstick, a choker a crystal in the front, a black tank top with a waist-part that looks a little like a corset, and a short, black skirt. Their style has changed slightly since then, but it's quite similar.

Ahriman: I wanted to create an Evil spellcaster and started off with the evil character trope, such as black hair, pale skin, and red eyes. I first created them as female and in the very beginning she looked like this, with backslick hair, completely black makeup, and that generic spellcaster dress.

2. I love to play Geek Sims, but hadn't played any for a while. Then I came up with an idea for a storyline that I wanted to play (at first just for myself in my head). So I went into CAS and started to play around, and ended up with Beren. Here's the first picture of him, from 6 years ago.

My Sim Beren Bright. He has black hair, put up in a messy bun, a tan skin tone, and dark brown eyes. He wears glasses with black frames, a red button-up shirt, a black bow-tie, black, cuffed chinos, red socks, and black derbies. He's standing straight and stiff, looking straight forward, as I have just moved him in to a house in Oasis Springs and opened his household for the first time.

On Saturday it will be 4 years since I started to post The Brights, so I want to do a story Q&A. It doesn't matter if you've read all of it, just one post, or anything in between. Ask me about the characters, the plot, the worldbuilding, or anything! I'll start to answer the questions tomorrow.

From Chapter 50: A Longer Night than Expected.

Beren and Melon are on the train home from Britechester early in the morning, after an accidental all-nighter where they watched a movie with Cameron, Beren fell asleep on Melon's shoulder, and when Beren woke up he got embarrassed about it. On the train, Melon asked Beren if he wanted them to move, so that he can sleep on the double seat. Beren holds his hands together, as if he's about to crack his knuckles, and looks at Melon with a sly smile, right before he put his head on Melon's shoulder to take a nap.

From Chapter 48: Housing.

Ahriman, Goldie, and Beatrice have a meeting in Beatrice and Morgan's dorm room. This was shortly after they became work colleagues at Jacques Villareal's company. Beatrice and Goldie are sitting on Beatrice's bed, and Ahriman is sitting cross-legged on the floor. Ahriman is in her female form. This was the first time Beatrice and Goldie got to see Ahriman in this form.

From Chapter 47: Dating Apps.

Andrew and Louise went on a hike in the forests between Nordhaven and Henford. Andrew had a bad day, which resulted in him getting so angry that he left without saying anything, when Louise went into the tent to go get something. Louise looks for Andrew for hours. In the picture she has just found Andrew, who's sitting on the ground, cross-legged, with his eyes closed, meditating. Louise looks at him with a mostly neutral, but slightly unamused, expression.

From Chapter 48: Housing.

Right after Eve broke up with Kodex. They're in Eve's house and Eve has just told Kodex that it's okay that they stay over night and they can sleep in the master bedroom if they want, while Eve can sleep on the sofa. They say goodnight to each other and Kodex walks up the stairs to the master bedroom.

The original state of Sprucewood Square, Conifer Station, Evergreen Harbor in TheSims4 Eco Lifestyle. This is a Community Space lot, so it can be changed through gameplay, but here, in its original state, it's a little brick wall building with six restrooms and trash everywhere.
