A little update on the shop. We are almost finished with the design stage of things and the works will start in early October. It’s later than anticipated, but things take the time they need to take, and we are still on course to open before the end of the year🤞

I have a soft spot for picture books that tackle difficult historical subjects, going against genre and format standards, blurring the intended age expectations. ‘Love in the Library’ by Maggie Tokuda-Hall, illustrated by Yasmin Imamura, is one such picture book.

A poetic and moving book by Britta Teckentrup about a swing by the sea, and the importance it holds for generations of people. It’s a place of love, friendship, imagination, dreaming, conflict, loss, and peace. A beautiful celebration of the enduring impact certain places have on our lives.
