It's more the curse aspect. It takes a LOT of work to maintain a lifespan with spheres. It's not one quick Magick effect imposed on someone else. There's so much paradox cleanup over time. So Mages really only do it to themselves with a great deal of intent.

They asked for apology essays. Wanting proper investigation and prosecution isn't presuming guilt. It's wanting accusations with evidence to be treated with respect and put through the criminal justice system that already has a beyond a reasonable doubt standard for criminal liability.

I was raised in a VERY liberal Catholic home. The connection between Christianity and conservatism has always felt contrived to me. I'm glad someone is highlighting that for others.
