i've been noodlin' a lot lately!!

Panel 1: "I've always been jealous of a hypothetical version of myself."

a spotlight on two figures, one holding an award, the other cowering behind the first. They both have a little sprout growing from their heads. The Winner has her hair down, while the Coward has her hair up in a ponytail.

Panel 2; "Lured by things brighter and shinier than I am."

The spotlight moves to a pencil and paper, which the coward notices. She picks them up, but gets distracted by an other spotlight holding a shiny trophy.

Panel 3: "Not realizing that I'm holding myself hostage"

The award poofs out of existence. The coward is confused. There is a rope holding the cowering figure and the award winner together that is pulled taught. Because the coward is trying to reach the award, the award winner is being held back from the pencil and paper.

panel 4: "Do you like this? Do you like me?'

The coward is showing off her comics to a crowd of people, who seem to be responding positively. She is looking to them for approval, with the award winner strapped to her back. The award winner's sprout is wilting while the coward's is straight and tall.

I've been making a hard pivot to traditional art lately because its been way more fun for me, and more aligned with how I work- and its been so fun!! I've been making these little doodle comics lately because of it! These are Silk and Chiffon!!

My OC Silk, a princess who is also a wizard, is sitting in a comfy chair. She is wearing a stereotypical hennan and puffy sleeved dress, while holding a wand. The text reads "Being a good sister is easy! You just gotta remember to walk them, and make sure their food bowl isn't empty!"

Lately I've been coworking with some friends over discord, and making a big switch back to pen and paper, So while they're working on cool projects online I'm out here on the drafting table like the days of yore lkjfghfg

I use an 8bitdo controller too! I have it on the edge of my desk so I can put my arm entirely on the arm rest of my chair and put less strain on my wrist, I use a slightly bigger one so I can cram like A LOT on there, very heavily second this recommendation!

If that's a little intimidating I really like the platinum preppy- very beginner friendly, same good variety in nib sizes and it's cartridge based which is much less messy than a piston fill or a converter.

I assume you mean physical tools? I really like the Twsbi Eco for doodling and stuff on paper! Large ink capacity, piston fill so you can refill directly from any fountain pen inks you have, and a big variety of nib sizes to choose from.
