joyful-julie.itch.io/kitfit Kit Fit 🦊 It's a cute game about foxes 🧡 Gameplay is similar to Bejeweled, Homescapes, and all these games, but I didn't add any useless extras like building a house or anything. I'm not sure anyone even likes that part, I certainly don't. #indiedev #gamedev

I don't really like using AI but I'm pretty much completely deaf to all this political rhetoric about leftists and fascists, I just don't like it because the results aren't good. The code is always ridiculously bloated and overcomplicated for simple things. The rest we don't even need to talk about.

I cooked Älplermagronen. The Swiss version of Mac and Cheese. 🦊💛🧀 Made with pasta, cream, cheese and onions. You can also add potatoes if you like. This easy and filling meal was traditionally eaten by the herdsmen in the Alps since Italian workers brought pasta to Switzerland in the 19th century.
A pan of freshly cooked Älplermagronen. A traditional Swiss dish made with pasta, cream, cheese and onions. Potatoes may also be added, but I skipped them this time.

It resembles the popular English dish of Macaroni and Cheese (Mac and Cheese).A plate of freshly cooked Älplermagronen. With a cute, fluffy fox plushy sitting nearby.

Cugzilia is a game made for foxes 🦊 Even though it's not about a fox 🧡 I like the new cover art with the red text. The older one was almost unreadable. I'm also working on a big update at the moment. But level design is tedious and one of my least favourite parts of making any game.

If there's one thing I like about the modern internet it's how more and more libraries are digitising their archives and making them available online to students and researchers. As a hobby folklorist nothing makes me happier than browsing digital collections of field recordings of folk songs. 🦊🎵

Lost Jimmy Whalen - Sung by Paul Clayton on "Timber-r-r!" (1958). Irish Canadian Ghost Ballad based on a real drowning accident. Paul Clayton was an American folksinger and folklorist in the 1950s & 1960s. He was gay and took his own life at 36 years old due to depression related to his sexuality.

The Unquiet Grave - Sung by Ed McCurdy on "The Ballad Record" (1955). Another ghost ballad. And more obscure out of print folk records from the 50s and 60s. According to the song excessive mourning disturbs the dead. Basically it told people to get over their grief and move on.

Loving Henry - By Harold & Margaret Winters on "Songs of Our Mountains" (1966). Scottish Murder Ballad. It survived better in the Appalachian Mountains than its home country. This obscure record was never reissued which is a shame because the performances on it are great.

I bought this because it was cheap. 🦊🎵 Kraftwerk - Я Твой Слуга Я Твой Работник ("I'm your servant, I'm your worker") 2xLP Live in Munich Germany Circus Krone 12 June 1981 I had a version of this bootleg on orange vinyl previously that I sold to my friend Babass.
Kraftwerk Live in Munich 1981 - Vinyl Sleeve Front

Bootleg 2x vinyl LP of a Kraftwerk live audience recording from the Computer World Tour 1981.

The orange vinyl came with a cardboard sleeve. This one is wrapped in thin folded paper.

Another vintage Kraftwerk bootleg. This one is from 1982. The sleeve reads "Made in England", but it might as well have originated in Eastern Europe. Bootleggers often intentionally obscured the place of origin. It's on black vinyl but orange coloured vinyl with the same cover art also exists.

The recording has a very distinct, bass heavy sound which stands out. There's a cassette recording of a KW concert taped at Metropol Berlin on 10 June 1981 which has the same distinct sound which leads me to believe both shows were taped by the same person using the same equipment.

Not much to say about this other than it being a flawed recording of a fantastic concert and one of the few to feature the songs with German lyrics. I prefer the German versions of most KW songs because they have a rhythmic emphasis on syllables that's lost in the English translations.

The set list was as follows:

Vocoder Intro
Nummern
Computerwelt
Computerliebe
Heimcomputer
Das Modell
Neonlicht
Geigerzähler
Radioaktivität
Die Stimme Der Energie
Uran
Die Sonne, Der Mond, Die Sterne
Ohm Sweet Ohm
