I didn't hate it. Crowd was into it? The lead said "fuck" about 200 times. The ending was annoying. I liked how simple it was but not really worth the theater experience.

This Killer on the Road from @sstpublications.bsky.social is gorgeous. Also, I just got the wide version of that cover, much larger, back from the framer. One of the very coolest covers I’ve lucked into. Thanks, Francois Vaillancourt. Also? Killer was the most fun to write of any of my novels.

There are no cliffhangers in Cliffhanger, no poetic justice in Poetic Justice, no babies driving in Baby Driver, no one set on fire in Man on Fire, Blue Thunder was black, the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park are from the Cretaceous period, the NeverEnding Story ends, and Debbie never makes it to Dallas.

Long story short there are 4 versions out there. Original publisher collapsed and put out an unedited draft, audiobook was produced using entirely different draft, then it was reissued first with an unedited draft then an edited draft. Like to imagine there's a clean version somewhere but who knows.

It's a testament to the original Krazy Glue ads that I have so many distinct childhood memories of being disappointed by its effectiveness. Also, how many hardhats were permanently stuck to girders? How many skyscrapers had to incorporate them into the structure? How many lives were lost that day?
