Here are some of my OC planets that I dr- uh, pixeled! I made these for the #pixelplanets open collab by @ekvitki.art, which was nice to help get more of my ideas into form. They're called Kaia, Thornwood, and Nillious, and I gave brief descriptions in the alt text!

Kaia is an oceanic planet dotted with floating islands, save that one on the southern hemisphere

Thornwood is a wooded partial planet with a small molten satellite. It's like a hand in the dark reaching for the light

Nillious is a battered and barren planet that is constantly baked under its red giant. Its inhabitants live underground, where it's actually cooler than the surface

Here be my entries for the #pixelplanets collab hosted by @ekvitki.art (with many thanks, for it was a lovely chance to work pixels again)! -Verdant Wanderer, Arbor -Ravenous Celestial Body, Obsidius -Interplanetary World Vessel, BISHAMON-X ( #worldbuilding lore tidbits in altText, as per usual! )

With a seemingly arid - yet somehow plentifully irrigated - surface and an underground that is utterly teeming with verdure even well below the planet's crust, Arbor could well be described as a planetary symbiotic organism, with the crust as its shell, and its most-interconnected verdure as its body proper.

-BISHAMON-X: Originally part of an orbital-weaponry project spearheaded by a now-vanished empire, the BISHAMON units were repurposed from being plated planet-busting weapons-platforms into being plated carriers of artificial grand-scale terraria.

The reason for this being an as-yet-unclear event known as The Collapse, which apparently (with a bit of elbow grease, some say) lead to a dead stop of any infighting and concentration on turning the once-feared weapons into arks of survival, to be sent far, far away from the empire's decaying territories.

Many such units were built, each one capable of housing a small planet's worth of folks and cyclical resources, though it is unknown how many survived (or even launched). One such survivor is the tenth unit, housing amiable folk from a less-touched corner of the empire.

>Obsidius: ever revered for its celestial glint, Obsidius and its two moons, Nox (Lesser) and Lux (Greater) have stood prominently in the astronomical (and theological) sights of many a civilization.

One well-storied event states that Obsidius and Lux once collided, with the greater moon partly absorbed into the main planet; this led to, among other things, Obsidius being branded as the Ravenous, and its theological equivalents being granted the Mantle of the Devourer, among those that practiced such faiths.

Of course, this is just gravitational forces at work.
There is little reason to suggest Obsidius, a hunk of rock, consciously ate its moon. Clearly.

The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances.
