I've moved onto Moby Dick and am having a good time with it. Ishmael is a yapper that is actually interesting to read. The way Queequag is portrayed is extremely of its time and not good, but I really like his character so far. I just hope all this talk of savages is just Ishmael's percpective

I finished Dracula today, and man, Van Helsing might be one of the most annoying fictional characters I've ever read. I was really into the beginning of the book with Harker and Dracula, but pretty much everything after that involved Van Helsing felt like such a slog

I spent the last several years unemployed and spiraling in depression. A few months ago I started taking SSRIs, and this week was my first week at my new job that I actually enjoy in a place I actually want to be. I'm genuinely shocked at how fast it feels like my life has turned around.
