FIRE Elon - SAVE Elmo #congress #congressman #dems #democrats #houseofrepresentatives #sesamestreet #elmo #pbs

My favorite quotes from this Congressional Hearing: youtu.be/9ckFSje3AqA?... - "The American people want to know: is Elmo now or has he ever been a member of the Communist Party" followed by "Are you sure? B/c he's red" - "He's indoctrinating our kids that 'sharing is caring'"

I love that Marvel knows that despite having us stare at still images of unmoving chairs for 10ish minutes at a time, some of us are still going to keep the livestream open in our background. They know that the #Marvel fanatics cannot escape the obsession

Running in circles desperately wanting to ramble about Sunrise on the Reaping but unable to because the book JUST CAME OUT so the people in my life haven't read it yet (Gnawing on my enclosure! Let me ramble about my current fixation! I'm ready! Let me in, Coach!)

(No Spoilers here) I didn't do a reread of the OG Hunger Games books (or rewatch the movies) prior to reading Sunrise on the Reaping. That was a MISTAKE. Yeah, I caught 90% of the references, but they absolutely would have been better fresh.

I have naturally thick, coarse, curly hair. I've been following care advice for it from my straight-haired friends not realizing that there is a TON more to matainence than "shampoo, condition, pray it curls tame instead of poofy." Now I'm spiraling. I am an adult who needs to learn haircare ahhh

"I can't relate to that kind of book" I don't think you can relate to a book about a dragon rider either, but you still read it.

If I had a nickel for every time I was told I WOULD have gotten the job if the grant/government funding didn't get pulled, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Last week I (finally) finished Breath of the Wild. Over the weekend, I started Tears of the Kingdom. It turns out that a newer interest in Zelda is my What The Heck World coping mechanism, so that's interesting news to learn about myself.

I was so obsessed with Disney Fairies as a kid. A star-crossed forbidden lovers story about Queen Clarion and Lord Milori? YES PLEASE. This book just came out and I fear that I may talk about nothing but this for the next month.

As always, read (and buy!) banned and diverse books 📚

Picture taken at an angle inside of a bookstore.

The side of the shelf is labeled BANNED BOOKS. While most of the books on the shelf aren't clear by the angle of the picture, there is a display table next to the shelf featuring many copies of The Handmaid's Tale and George Orwell's 1984

"You're acting as a god."

"Am not," he hissed back, a single fist clenching.

She tilted her head and looked at him. "Gods are nothing without their worshipers. It is the power of the human that creates a god. You are being followed while the land crumbles beneath your people."

For a long moment, he was silent as he watched her carefully, mirroring the tilt of her head with his own. "You hear what I hear. You know what I know. Yet you say nothing. How does that make you any better, O Silent One?"

The problem with being aware of object permanence problems is that IT DOESN'T RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I can fix "where are my keys" or "I thought I set this item here but it's gone now." I CAN'T RESOLVE THAT IN PUBLIC SPACES B/C I DON'T SEE A PROBLEM UNTIL I'M HOME LOOKING FOR THE ITEM I LEFT IN PUBLIC

In 2025, stop worrying about what counts and doesn’t count and just read it all! Physical books, e-books, audiobooks, manga, comics, web novels, fiction, non-fiction, fan-fiction, all of it! Reading is reading and it’s all out there just waiting for you!

After a lifetime of being utterly terribly at most games involving a ball, I've discovered that I can wipe the floor with my friends in skee ball. I'm totally happy with this information. Can we bring skee ball to K-12 PE classes so we can get graded on it?

🎶 Guess who's back. Back again. Shady's back. Tell a friend! 🎶 - This was a widespread Amazon issue and not just for Stuff Your Kindle Day participants. - If Amazon has no further issues, I fully intend to participate in tomorrow's Cozy Fantasy event and the Dark Mode relaunch. 💕

000

Amazon SYKD Account Hold Issues: - The issue is fairly widespread amongst people who participated in Stuff Your Kindle Day - They are aware of the issue - The form you eventually get sent demands the billing statement from the last "purchase" made. But w/ free books, that statement doesn't exist. :(

I'm so curious as to what happens next in this series and ADORED every single part of the first book. The second book is suffering from being a second book and also got checked out from the library in audiobook form so I'm six hours in and have about 24 hours left book PLEASE be better

I participated in Stuff Your Kindle Day last night (meaning that I spent absolutely NO money on ebooks and even confirmed that via emails) and got sent to the fraud department this morning and my account is on hold/inaccessible until further notice BOOO
