Yahuda had a happy childhood on Mindoir, until the Batarians attacked. She was moved back to Earth, under the care of her aunt in Cairo. It was lonely a lonely time, and her trust fund was spent behind her back. She enlisted to the Alliance the moment she turned 18 and left Earth asap.

Tiamat sent Davrin. She thought it'd be useful for both teams to be led by Wardens. That is the official version, but deep down she also didn't want to put her gf Harding in even more danger. To not hurt her feelings of competence, she sent her as Davrin's backup.

Tawana taught herself necromancy in secret, as Circle apprentices weren't allowed to. She hoped to impress the Mourn Watch and escape Ferelden, but with becoming a Warden she just kept teaching herself. She loves necromancy and it's her strongest magic, even if it's often used inappropriately.

Because of Shivalle's name sounding like cheval, the Orlessians like to call her things like 'the Inquisition's show/work horse'. Around spirits, she is known as the Fennec, the smaller relative of the wolf with far less bite. She calls herself Keeper of clan Lavellan, even if the clan is just her.
