It means it will generate more content now. Might be worth re-clicking. Sadly, gender imbalance got worse. I saved 5 spots for women-run accounts. Send suggestions, including yourself! Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 16/07/2026Agreed. This why I build a dedicated website for bike counters in Montreal: compteurs-cycliste.r42.ca So people can actually get an overview or a more complete picture on how much cycling has gained traction over the past years. Thanks for sharing @ohtheurbanity.bsky.socialcompteurs-cycliste.r42.caMontreal Bike CountersInteractive dashboard of cycling activity across Montreal, based on open data from the Ville de Montréal. 020
Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 15/07/2026... not open source, and as a very specific website project, I would doubt getting any stars 😅 020
Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 15/07/2026I haven't even tried LayerChart waffle or treemap, as I am using my own version, that is also published in the PowerBI Marketplace. These are very easy to use, when you know them and all the features are built-in. The Treemap is a polygon treemap, with automatic label density stuff. 010
Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 15/07/2026@techniq.dev - my first public project using LayerChart 2. Was a real pleasure. Bar charts + Sankey were created with your library, Waffle and Treemap are based on my own #Svelte library. I would love if you could use this as a reference 😁 140

Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 14/07/2026I am using #LayerChart from @techniq.dev for the first time and I am absolutely stunned how well IA agents can understand and translate my requirements (series labels with dodging, #dataWrapper style date axis, modern gridlines, line interpolation..) This task took me weeks when I hand coded them! 121

Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 09/07/2026I added a new visual to the #Montreal #bikeCounter project. Which bike counter sees the most cyclists — and does that change over the year? Hover over the lines and find out. Data updates daily, the race is on. Project: compteurs-cycliste.r42.ca 020
Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 25/06/2026All visualizations (except the map) in this project where built with #SveltePlot by @driven-by-data.net. Very nice to work with, offering quite some flexibility in terms of custom marks and responsive adaptation. 071
Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 23/06/2026Public data is only useful if people can actually use it. After Montréal restored public access to its bike counter data last month, I decided to built a dashboard to explore cycling trends across these counters. 🚲 compteurs-cycliste.r42.ca Regularly updated as new data becomes available. 040

So, back to DIY, using a web stack. 110

Ralph Spandl @spandl.ca · 23/03/2026Another great example showing that flags are a misleading way to represent languages. Even ignoring the Reggaeton vs. Spanish point, most songs people listen to don’t come from England but from a wide range of places—just as “Europe vs. the rest of the world” oversimplifies reality. 011
