75 years ago today, in 1 of the worst sports tragedies ever, Maple Leaf Bill Barilko died in a plane crash near Timmins, coming back from a fishing trip. He'd scored the overtime goal to win the Stanley Cup in April. Still working on our documentary on Bill's life. Airs next year on TVO.
