Scam alert: @authorsguild.org warning abt fake meeting links. I haven't seen this but it sounds dangerous. Starts w/ email asking about proofing or editing services. Scammer sends link for video mtg, then says they can't join & sends new link mimicking a Zoom URL but leading to suspicious domain

You know, when you find out that the art you like is made by people you've learned hold views you find wholly repugnant, I don't think you need to disavow ever having enjoyed the art. It's okay to acknowledge you liked or loved that art, but are now putting it aside. That was then, this is now.

A black and white sketch of Mara, Beck, Zed, Bodhi, Bit, and Able from Tron Uprising. They are smiling and facing the viewer. Zed's arm is outstretched towards the camera as if he was holding a camera in selfie mode and holding his pointer finger up towards Able with a wink. Mara is holding Bit, who is a dog with one leg. Beck is holding up two fingers on both of his hands as bunny ears for Mara and Able. Bodhi is holding Able's shoulders. All of them are wearing modern clothes.

A little motivation

4 panel comic:
Panel 1: forg is drawing. There’s some extra pencils and some coffee on his desk. He says “all I can do..”
Panel 2: he is now doing work on his computer. Looks like he completed some drawings. He continues “..is my best”
Panel 3: he is now making some food in the kitchen, wielding a pan and wearing a tiny chefs hat. He continues talking to himself “..and my best..”
Panel 4: at the end of his long cozy day he’s in bed, and finishes his sentence “.. will do”

"Love's gonna get you killed/But pride will be the death of you and me" - Kendrick Lamar, PRIDE ...and more selfship stuff. bc i have to stay on brand right? (description and further comments in alt) #artistsonbluesky #selfship #selfshipping #digitalart

Two figures holding each other, but facing in different directions. The male figure holds the female figure in a protective embrace, but his gaze is directed somewhere to the left of the canvas. The female figure leans into the male figure with her head under his chin while holding his arm, her hand glowing white compared to the black of the rest of her clothing. Her focus is on her hand, but she is just as distant and troubled as he is.

Hot damn, I love doomed romance. A veritable goddess in hiding and her champion, both having to rely on each other for survival and companionship, but they know this is dangerous. And, well- we both know how this ends.

So the natural progression of this piece was "oh hey this post is pretty neat, I love this trope. hey why's that Kendrick song stuck in my head?" And so, here we are. I considered keeping a text box somewhere so I could keep the quote of "I am wanting for the first time in a long time and it's going to kill me", but it just made it all too busy at that point. I figured the distant, troubled expressions on the characters' faces would do the trick instead.

art i drew for identity-shenanigans on AO3 to show my appreciation for her absolutely phenomenal fic, the last chapter of which she dropped today like a hydrogen bomb, and it utterly destroyed me. (description and further comments in alt.) #artistsonbluesky #tron #tronuprising #fanart #digitalart

Two figures embracing. The figure in white props up the figure in black while trying to comfort him, while the figure in black, visibly wounded, in pain and in distress, clings to the other.

FUCK this piece was so fun to do. Gotta say, doing Tron's scars was not my favourite part, I still feel pretty cheap for just going with layering the mosaic effect since I didn't have the right brush. And uh. yeah. I don't like the lightlines. Uprising made lightlines so much more complicated and I still can't get them right. But still! Working in chiaroscuro is fun! (even if I can't pronounce that word properly)

Honestly the author read into this a lot further than I did- she pointed out how most of Tron's face is obscured specifically and honestly I did that more as a choice to clean up the linework a bit but y'know what? It works. Having Tron being more in shadow compared to Beck being cast in a brighter light (and also being a source of it) while trying to nail the expressions in the scene this is based off of was the main idea, considering the fic is about Tron recovering his memories and reconciling with his actions as Rinzler. I played around a bit with whether or not to have Tron's emblem on top of the scars or basically scratched out- kinda glad I went with the latter. Anyways, off to make another piece bc the final chapter fucked me up something fierce lmao

Apparently the LA Rams spent 2 years sending people to Australia to track sleep patterns and produce the optimal circadian strategy. The 49ers rocked up, had a blast, smashed a few flat whites, went to Bunnings for a snag and then gave them an absolute shellacking as honorary Aussies.

If I had any power in the WoD lore spaces, I would make only one change. The insane clown posse (and juggalos as a whole) are sleeper mages who have accidentality connected to Malkavian madness network. That is all.
