Back on the old hellsite, I used to set my name to “Scary Arbour” for the Halloween season, yet I never did anything to play with that, like myself as a Treant, Spriggan, or other tree monster. I like the Juste Belmont icon I made for myself, but one of these years, I ought to go ham on that idea.

Finished Akumajou Densetsu tonight! That was meant to be my practice run for the American version of Castlevania III, but uh― I don't think I'm starting that tonight. The Japanese version may have been the easier one, but my hands are shaking like crazy after those last three stages. 😅

Went by a card store today, where they had a bunch of Weiss Schwarz cards for dirt cheap―I guess they were trying to clear them out. For basically pocket change, I grabbed a few Azur Lane cards for the art. They didn't have many of my favorites, but they at least had Seattle, Guam, and Argus.

It's Halloween icon season now, yeah? Felt like I had an obvious choice this year, aha

Digital illustration of this user's self-caricature, dressed as Juste Belmont from the video game Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. He's holding a whip taut while Dracula's Castle ominously looms in the background.

Been mulling this lately, but I think the biggest issue with my art is that I don’t do it regularly enough. As in, everything *has* to be a full, finished piece when I need to condition myself into being okay with incomplete pieces. Especially when I can’t find perfect pose/perspective refs.

>Playing Akumajou Densetsu for my ongoing Castlevania marathon >Me, for the first six stages: "Well, this isn't *too* bad. Definitely tricky at points, but it's manageable." >Me, after reaching Dracula's Castle: "Jesus CHRIST"

It dropped from 90°F to 68°F here in just the span of one day. Nature sure is funny sometimes. ... Now it just needs to get colder.

Sounders winless in 13, RSL winless in 12, the most MLS way this game can end is in a draw. #SEAvRSL #Sounders

Someone I know is really trying their best to get me hooked on a VTuber from Phase Connect. I don’t know anything about PC, though, except that the culture around it is has a reputation for being more… unfiltered? Edgier?

Saw this going around on my feed last night, figured I'd give it a spin. I tried to frame this more as "what has influenced me and the way I think about video games long-term" rather than pure and simple favorites. Pretty sure that's the intent here. #My9Games

3x3 grid of the nine video games which this user believes influenced the most.
The top row consists of Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan (3DS), Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times (DS), and Super Paper Mario (Wii).
The middle row consists of Azur Lane (Mobile), Sid Meier's Civilization V (PC), and Okami (PS2).
The bottom row consists of Fallout: New Vegas (PC), Yume Nikki (PC), and Touhou 6: The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (PC).

Portrait of Ruin has been on my mind again. And by that, I mean "I just had the dumbest idea" #Castlevania #PortraitOfRuin

Redraw of a scene from SpongeBob Squarepants, now featuring characters from the video game Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

In the top panel, Brauner holds up the painting from his boss battle background and says, "How about this one? I call it 'Bold and Brash'."

In the middle panel, Death interjects, "More like, 'Belongs in the Trash'!"

And in the bottom panel, Jonathan and Charlotte show up to throw the painting away, accompanied by the text, "Sorry, we must've missed that one."

Started playing Kowloon's Gate this week, even though I was supposed to be saving it for next month because I wanna binge some spooky games for October. It's kinda surreal finally playing this in English, after seeing multiple translation projects come and go unfinished over the years.

Caden Clark gets to be the hero tonight, but it’s still frustrating that the Sounders have spent over a third of the season on this continued winless streak. When’s it gonna break?

Y'all know how they say you can sense when rain's coming, just by how the atmosphere around you feels? That's me, but with depressive spells. Like I know I'm on the periphery right now and I'm trying my hardest not to slide onto the wrong side of the fence. 🙃

Y'all ever make a typo that ends up being funnier than you think it'd be? Because I just wrote "Dracula's Castula" in my marathon notes, and I kinda want to keep it that way.

I should probably make a new autumn/winter themed icon for myself, seeing as I’ve been using this one since January. But it’s also one with my ‘sona wearing Kraken colors, and hockey season’s about to start back up, so maybe not.

Weird couple of days where I’ve been going through the “did I suddenly forget how to draw” feelings. Might be because I’ve been trying to experiment with more dynamic poses/composition and it’s not looking as good as I’d hope. Trying not to lose my confidence over this.

Nearly bust a gut laughing at a slop ad I got the other day, not because it was one of those sketchy “new driving law in [your state here]” things, but because I live in Georgia, the state. And only a couple of background clips used were of Atlanta. The rest of it was from Georgia, the country.

Dumb question, but because I’m still new to digital art: how does flipping the canvas work? Like I know it’s to check for more subtle errors, but is there a specific time to check for those, or is it just something you do by intuition?

I have been on this earth for thirty years now, but only today am I trying Indian food, via homemade butter chicken over basmati rice. It’s not bad! I can understand the appeal, though I think I’m more of a Thai curry guy for the time being.

This is such a grandpa hobby to have, but I’ve recently started collecting old coins/banknotes, after receiving some that belonged to deceased relatives. Yesterday, I happened across a Qing Dynasty coin dated to 1736–oldest one I have now, wild to think I can hold something nearly 3 centuries old.
