I think about this Tumblr post a lot. Everyone who posts their writing should try channeling the energy of King Big Dick of Fanfic Mountain

Tumblr post by user formlessvoidbeast on April 3, 2024:

newbie fic authors, shooting themselves in the foot: This fic is bad haha I suck at writing lol I am being mean to myself in the hopes that you will be nice to me but actually am dissuading anyone from even clicking on my fic because all I have done to advertise it is tell you why you shouldn't read it

me: I am King Big Dick of Fanfic Mountain and I have arrived in your fandom with the Express Intention of writing my Very Favorite Fics, which I will generously allow you to read. You're welcome.

bsky is proving fun for silly things, so im opening this to peer review

a three-way character relationship meme for kid, luffy, and law from one piece. most of the charts are line graphs or dual axes with visual elements that would be difficult to describe. if you want a better explanation of those, feel free to dm me or ask in replies.

for the sexuality boxes, kid is “brawlers and nerds,” luffy is “who cares,” and law is “none of your business.” for gender, kid is a man, luffy is a guy, and law is male.

the following are categories, with x’s to indicate which character it fits.
first to confess: luffy, but casually.
first to kiss: kid.
dies for the others: luffy, but there are ellipses in kid’s box.
prone to hide their feelings: law.
first to apologize after a fight: no one.
“excuse me, they asked for no pickles”: luffy.
spoils the others: kid.
wakes up first: kid.
“what’s updog”: a small x for luffy.
first to propose: no one.
wants children: no one.
didn’t know they were dating: all three.
initiates contact: a normal x for kid and a bold, large x for luffy.
approached first: law.
says the L word first: no one.
the oblivious one: a small x for luffy.

for relationship tropes, lukid is forced proximity (udon). kidlaw is enemies to… whatever they are now. and lulaw is soulmates.

luffy and kid are sorted as chaotic neutral, and law is sorted as a true neutral.

this page consists of binary sliding scales from one category to its opposite. ill list the two categories and the order lulawkid are in from left to right.

brat to mom-friend: luffy, kid, law.

edgelord to ray of sunshine: law, kid, luffy.

insomniac to early bird: law, luffy, kid. kid has an actual morning workout routine.

the mature one to “bold words for someone standing on lava”: all three are piled up on the right. laws placement is because of how he gets around the other two.

stays at home to party animal: law, kid, luffy.

big spoon to little spoon: luffy, kid, law.

kills the bug to takes the bug out: law, kid, luffy. kid just kinda swats at bugs around him, and luffy keeps them and shows them off.

gets their clothes stolen to clothes stealer: kid, law, luffy.

swears like a sailor to “oh fiddlesticks”: kid, law, luffy.

would die for attention to pretty independent: luffy, law, kid.

would stab as a warning to would never stab anyone: kid, law, luffy. luffy would never stab. because he would be too busy punching.

makes dinner to can’t cook to save their life: this one features sanji all the way to the left. from the middle on are kid and law. luffys face is half off the page.

responsible helmsman to don’t let them near the wheel: once again they are stacked to the far right.

can live in a dumpster to clean freak: luffy, kid, law.

ready to go to 3 hours in the bathroom: luffy, law, kid. law has to do his eyeliner. kid has to do his nail polish, hair gel and spray, lipstick, and eyeliner. maybe even more.

people on the cursed bird site saw my back and forth with law and zoro in real time and i still think that was a bit crazy for me to do lmao

spooky soul(slime) 🔞 @soulslime.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

probably bc i came to op nation strong repping one fictional goober so people who interact with me / follow me ALSO do the same but like...who cares? life's too short to not like / like characters lmao

000

spooky soul(slime) 🔞 @soulslime.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

god it took me so long to admit to myself that yeah...maybe law is one of my favorite one piece characters and no you can't betray a fictional goobler (zoro, in this case) by liking another fictional goobler from the same show ; they're both fake and don't give a shit in the first place lmao

When Shachi told Law that his friends porn company was looking for a guy with a nice voice to do a jerk off instructional video Law immediately said no… until he saw the payment. He was a broke med student and needed the money so he pushed aside the embarrassment and read the script.
