I find the argument that you soon won't be able to avoid genAI in games utterly unconvincing it's predicated on the idea that genAI is, or will be, a shortcut to higher quality (rather than a form of corner cutting that remains present in the final product) and it ignores why people make stuff

Usually games, sometimes other stuff. Writing happens when it happens. What you describe hits even when I write detailed notes/comments on what I was doing in the moment I'll still sometimes come back, read my notes, and say, "Uhm. What did I mean by that?" I think everyone experiences that tho!

The longest part was just looking up kanji based off radicals (I used Jisho's radical chart), then trying to figure out if the kanji/hiragana next to it altered its meaning or was just a particle, which a lot of times felt like the answer was: definitely a maybe ... ?

I spent this evening trying to translate some JP info just using reference, no auto translate stuff and ... it was rewarding! Why do we trade that feeling away? We have brains. Try turning off the distractions and concentrate on something challenging for 30 mins. See where it goes from there

I seem to be contrary to popular opinion again but I really like this trailer. It shows so much individual character as each participant joins the march. It tells a small story about who the key characters are without words, it has a narrative arc, and of course the music sells the whole thing.
