66 years ago tonight, on Feb. 27, 1959, Wilt Chamberlain played with the Harlem Globetrotters at the Brown County Arena in Green Bay. He dunked twice early in the game and finished with 26 points. The Globetrotters defeated the Hawaiian 50th Staters 77-66. Willard Mullin program cover!

Although he never coached for the Bucks, it's incredibly fitting for Hubie's last game to come in Milwaukee -- the place where he got his start in the NBA. He joined the Bucks as the assistant to Larry Costello weeks after the Bucks' 1971-72 season. From the Milwaukee Journal on May 12, 1972.

I’m not saying the 2024 Commanders are the 2010 Packers. But this divisional playoff win over a number 1 seed felt so much like the 2010 Packers’ win over Atlanta. Daniels had Rodgers-level effectiveness, while the defense saw Lion blood in the water and pounced, just like Woodson & company did.

Washington is not helping “Operation: Beat Kansas City.” They’re not the team I would think would beat the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, and they’re eliminating one of the teams that can. But maybe the Commanders can?

The NFL has the best postseason in sports. 5.8% of MLB, NBA & NHL playoff games in 2024 were Game 7 (or other winner-take-all). 100% of NFL playoff games are “Game 7s.” More than 55% of NFL playoff games the last 10 years ended in a 1-score game. Closer than any other sport. Many games are magic.
